I swung by Kolby’s Donut House the other morning on a bit of a whim, and I’m really glad I did. You can usually tell within the first bite whether a donut place knows what it’s doing, and these absolutely do.

I picked up a variety dozen, and every single one delivered. The texture was spot on: a light, delicate crunch on the outside with a soft, chewy interior that didn’t feel heavy or greasy. The sweetness was balanced too, flavorful without crossing into sugary overload, which is harder to pull off than people think.

What really caught me off guard, though, happened a couple of days later. I grabbed one of the sugar coated donuts I had left and expected the usual stale, dried-out disappointment. Instead, it was still soft, still chewy, and still tasted great. I’ve honestly never had a donut hold up like that before. I don’t know what kind of magic they’re working back there, but it made an impression.

All in all, Kolby’s is the kind of place that makes you want to stop in again and bring a dozen home “just because.” If you enjoy well made donuts and like discovering solid local spots, this one is absolutely worth a visit.

Kolby's maple bar is the best maple bar I have EVER had. I would even say the perfect donut. It has a delicious flavor, not too sweet, and the doughnut is SO soft and has the best texture when you chew it. All of their donuts are top tier. I love going there every time I drive down to visit my family. They also have awesome sandwiches and smoothies. I HIGHLY recommend you go!

I placed my order on doordash and it told me 24.39 for a bakers choice dozen. I had already checked out and then I was later charged 35.81 because I wrote in the description I wanted a few maple bars and apple fritters in the box and they could chose the rest. When I ordered in no was was i told the extra fee on they're cite nor on doordash and when I called they were no help whatsoever. Donuts were slightly stale as well. Over all very poor experience.

Some of the softest donuts I've had from Mom and mom shops ! Their regular glazed donut is a must try ! They also make breakfast sandwiches out of donuts as well. Maple bars are great here too and I tried their peanut butter and jelly donut and it was perfect. I also really like how they make fresh pressed juice in front of you as well. I tend to get a beet juice with pineapple, celery and carrots. Delicious.

I got two bear claws and two maple bars and it was $11. Donuts were doughy and under cooked.

My first Kolby’s review was about four years ago, and they’re still hands-down my favorite doughnut spot. I’ve tested it a few times by bringing other brands—like Krispy Kreme—to work, and those boxes always seem to sit there half-eaten. But whenever I bring Kolby’s, the doughnuts disappear fast, and people are constantly asking where I got them. It got to the point where I started leaving their business card next to the box.

I usually swing by not long after they open in the morning. The staff is always friendly—99% of the time Monita is behind the counter, and she’s the best. Their doughnuts are consistently fresh, and my personal favorite is the peanut-butter-and-jelly claw.

The reason I’m updating my review is because of TikTok. I saw someone rave about their breakfast sandwiches and realized that after all these years I’d never tried anything but the doughnuts. I finally ordered the egg, ham, bacon, and cheese sandwich—and now I might be making more trips just for that. It was so good… easily a 10/10.

If you’re looking for incredible doughnuts (or a surprisingly amazing breakfast sandwich), I highly recommend Kolby’s Donut House.
