Been following everything I could about this restaurant on their social media as well as what news I could find as a Filipino restaurant in Tacoma is super exciting! I came here with my mother (but will come here with my Filipino boyfriend) to try them out! We were able to find parking luckily and we also were lucky to grab the last seat as they had a full house inside. Our waiter welcomed us very warmly and professionally before grabbing some menus and then taking us over to the table. The table had little mats with utensils and at the wall end of the table had condiments, sauces, and little sauce dishes. The walls had some art on them with yellow and green paint on the walls. I felt the decor was cute and gives vibes of street eateries, which also feels amplified with street food videos at the Philippines playing on the TVs. The bathroom is all gender too as they had a urinal and toilet as well as a baby changing area.

Our waiter did a great job checking in on tables and providing the same hospitality he showed us to everyone else. The check ins were less frequent once the restaurant was getting empty, but I am impressed with how fast they cleaned up tables once they get cleared. When I told him that I was a Yelp Elite and here for the event, he immediately told me that he would get me the Calamansi iced tea and got the lumpia getting made for me. We ended up ordering the lechon belly and a little later we got the ube iced coffee. The drinks were very refreshing and not overly sweet, which made us very happy as more often you get overly sweet drinks. Also, I noticed not one review mentioned their complimentary chips and salsa but I learned from the waiter that you can ask for it and they will provide it. Additionally, they will refill it for you too! The salsa didn't really have anything memorable but it's a complimentary so I'm not really going to say it was a negative. The lechon is by far one of the best that I have had in Washington. The stuffing they put in the lechon, especially the lemongrass, is such a burst of umami! Definitely coming back and trying more of their menu as well as return back for some favorites from this trip.

Overall good experience. Ordered ube horchata, which was good, lumpia was good too & lechon, the egg and adobo rice were good but I personally thought the pork was too rough to bite. I’m kinda picky when it comes to that. I’d definitely go back here again and try other breakfast food.

Food was good and service was solid, but the wait time for food was noticeable. There was inconsistency with free cake slices, some people received them while others did not, which isn’t ideal if freebies are being offered. The dining space is small, which can feel a bit cramped.

The place is cute inside but just wish the food was even slightly good. I ordered togo at the restraint and waited a while there for the order to be done. I received my order and drove 2 blocks home. I had ordered the Meatloaf Loco Moco and they asked how I’d like my egg and I asked for over medium. Bummer it was fully cooked. Pasta salad had zero flavor like it was just pasta and watered down mayo. Only a dollop of gravy that was all at the bottom, nothing over top. Meatloaf was dry and fried to a burnt crisp. Lumpia was good but was fried in old oil so it had that rancid oil after taste. I also requested a side of white plain rice for my 4 year old son and received garlic oil rice that he wouldn’t eat since he doesn’t like garlic. Sorry McKinley, this place is a flop.

The food was okay, I had the Lechon plate, palabok, and the lumpia. The lechon was okay, skin was a bit rubbery rather than crispy, and just a bit too oily/fatty for my liking. Palabok was good, as well as the lumpia. I also had dessert and that gave an extra star, as the desserts were delicious. All of them were very tasty and I would go back just for the dessert. Atmosphere felt friendly and inviting, and almost like just eating at home, so very comforting, there were just a couple flies that kept bothering me throughout the meal. Service was great as all the servers were friendly and attentive.
