Most of the doughnuts I've purchased (30+ varieties) were good to excellent, only a few were either subpar or not my pallets desire. Service has always been very good but there can be a wait due to only one person to assist customers on multiple visits, once there were two people but only one register. Speaking of the register, if you keep receipts, get it printed. The email and text receipts provide a link to clover.com that does not work. Clover will only assist its customer "Legendary Doughnuts" not recipients of bad links. Parking can be a challenge but that goes for many of the businesses on this area. There are numerous varieties with varying costs and the selections change daily as well as seasonally. I've seen the place with standing room only and empty if only briefly. There are some tables and a bar type table along the window with stools. Legendary Doughnuts is worth the visit at least once, then you can decide if a return visit is worth it to you.

My husbands go to place when he wants to treat the guys at work. The lengths a man will go for a good donut.

The doughnuts were fantastic! There was a mix up with the doughnuts, and one was missing from the box - went back and they were so nice. They apologized and made it right. Definitely will be back!

Really 3.5. Excellent selection but frankly the donuts were on the dry side and the flavor wasn't as good as the other shops I've been too. However, I gave them 3 stars as they do have a large selection of some very creative donuts. There were no cake donuts on my visit. Parking: street

I'm surprised by some of the reviews because I popped in here unexpectedly on a Friday afternoon. Donuts were well stocked and all I wanted was a coffee. The barista was super nice, and the latte was REALLY good!! The smell of the donuts were so un-resistible that I had to peek at them. I saw the BIGGEST maple bar I've ever seen in the glass. My husband is a sucker for maple bars, so I picked him up one. When I gave it to him, he ate it in record time. He said it was one of the best maple bars he's ever had - and that's saying something. Cheers to the barista she was super friendly and helpful!

When I first moved to Tacoma I actually went around and tried most of the doughnut shops in the area and today was visit 4 (which is three too many) for Legendary and it really lands firmly in the ok but not good or great category. Certainly not Legendary. It goes for the BIG impression while failing to make a noteworthy base product. There's nothing wrong with their dough but when you go for oversized the bite to fluff ratio is wrong. There also becomes a doughnut to frosting ratio problem that I don't think can be solved. Their solution is excessive doughnuts need excessive frosting and toppings but the result is an overwhelming amount of goop on an overwhelming piece of fried bread. This creates an unpleasant texture They also have the sweetest doughnuts of potentially any shop I visited to the point of being sickeningly sweet. Their vanilla frosting tasted like sugar and had no vanilla character to it. Vanilla is a delicate aromatic and I don't know if they are adding it too soon and cook it out or the sweetness of the frosting just drowns it out.I also ordered a mocha from them and I'm not getting any chocolate in it, just low quality coffee. They also didn't actually steam the milk, they just dropped the wand in so no air was actually added so the mouthfeel wasn't there. The shop has been empty all four times I've been in and the staff are ok but not that friendly. The space is an old craftsman style house that feels uncared for and comes off as cold and unwelcoming. Some updating, both inside and out might actually help with business.

Visited on a Saturday morning. Donuts with a lot of stuff on them aren’t really my thing so I chose a glazed doughsant. The inside of the doughsant reminded me of a french cruller and I appreciated the toasted goodness on the outside. Unfortunately, the glaze ruined it for me - too much of it and too sweet. Also tried some donut dots. They were dry.

THE APPLE FRITTERS ALWAYS SEEM TO BE OVERCOOKED OR BURNT A BIT MORE THAT THE CANYON CROSSING (PUYALLUP) LOCATION AND THE TACOMA LOCATION DOESN'T SEEM TO HAVE AS MANY VARIETIES AS THE PUYALLUP LOCATION. STILL GREAT DONUTS ? ?.

I arrived just before closing and there was a limited selection. But still found some good stuff. I literally wanted to try everything. The man behind the counter was super kind! These doughnuts are HUGE! I love it. Downside is, since I got there just before closing I think the doughnuts had been sitting for a while. I was looking for a super soft bite but what I got instead was a thick and dense bite. Almost like a day old doughnut.I am going to have to go back mid day to see if that’s just how the doughnuts are, or if I just had an older batch.

Went here today for a doughnut and coffee for New Year's Eve, which was on a Sunday for a breakfast coffee and doughnut. The place was totally empty. Service was fine, but confusion as to what a 16oz latte was made with, 2 or 3 espresso shots. That has to be the most popular drink with a donut and there is confusion on how to make it? And then the coffee was so scalded that it tasted burnt. It was bad. The doughnuts were fine, but so sweet. I know it's a doughnut (relax... I know that sounds weird) but I ordered the crème brûlée doughnut which had a whiskey cream. The brûlée was awesome, brûléed very nice, but the cream was just so sweet, no balance of cream and whiskey ( which was what they said it would taste like) just one note sweet on sweet. Hubby ordered the Apple fritter which was okay, but tasted a little stale. I wish I would have bought the chocolate glazed donut which came out freshly made aa we were waiting. Rookie mistake. We probably won't be back, which bums me out, as we try to support local businesses. Next up to try - Paos, which was unfortunately closed for New Year's Eve breakfast. Many were driving through the parking lot, probably also disappointed.
