The person who posted the damage done by years of service and the refuge left forgotten by ungrateful people
I'm thinking your comment was your way of offering your services. Some have more time than money others have more money than time. This is our community we rise we fall what ever we do we do it together. Lead by example and possibly not so much notation. Others will fallow and the world will be a better place for having you been in it. Lv d

Went squidding. Had a lot of people there and it was about 1900. The bite was subsiding. Friendly people of all ages were there.

Fishing, crabbing, squid fishing. A cold a weeks ago I got to see a soldier real in a shark at least 5 ft long. Scared the mess outta me. I didn't realize sharks that big were so close in the sound. And I see ppl kayaking out there alot. You won't catch me in that water on a kayak ... it's was amazing catch, shark got off the line as soon as he finally got him close to the pier. Apparently they walk them to the end of the pier and free them off the hook. Most incredible experience I've ever had. Maybe that's why we can't catch any fish lol.

Nice fishing spot lots of light places to sit and clean you fish

It depends on what you are going here for. Red Rock crab - it’s a decent place if you can squeeze in.
Dogfish - Decent place to catch dogfish
Sharks - The only place I’ve seen people hook and release sixgill and other sharks
Squid - People go here to squid jig so I’d assume it a good place during squid season

Other than that I don’t see people catch fish frequently at all

Good for fishing and crabbing. It could use more shade and the cleaning stations don’t have water. Parking can be difficult.

The view is nice but the dock is old, falling apart in places and many of the boards are trip hazards. In one section the boards move like keys on a piano when walking on them.
There's also lots of trash left on the dock from the locals crabbing and It looks like a dump site on those days.
Welcome to the City of Tacoma!!! ?

This is a fishing pier through and through! There are holes for the poles. Washing stations. There are always people crabbing :) we also went down on the beach and it was alright. The kids had fun and we saw lots of different shells and crabs.
