I love coming here, the waiter is the owner he is very attentive and super nice., portions are AMAZING, you'd definitely have left over. This is classic fried rice LEFTOVERS. Family owned business.

A group of us were going to a Rainiers game and decided we wanted to eat beforehand. Our planner found this little place just down from the Cheney Stadium. Really nothing to look at from the outside, but you are transformed to truly Thai ambiance once you walk through the doors. So very nice inside. We split some of the dishes, one was the garlic chicken and some yellow curry. Both dishes were so good !! The yellow curry was the best I have ever had. Most of the food we got, we had to bring home, which is fine with me. The place is run by a really nice couple, he waits tables and his wife cooks. It is truly a fantastic place. Coming back for sure !!

YES!Update 2022... Still the most amazing Thai food place in Pierce and King County. I absolutely love everything about this business. (Only wish it was closer to me ?) The food Never Ever Ever Disappoints me or anyone I bring here.The price is always amazing, and I make sure to tip as well as possible because they are Sooooo deserving of it!The portions are perfect!The decorations are traditional! What else can I say?? 6 stars!! But if you you order that many... you might be in trouble. ?Update 2024.. still amazing!!! The prices have increased, but that was something everyone should understand! Keep in mind it’s still cheaper than “Fast food” and 1 million times better! I will always come back to this place!Owners are so nice and I can’t complain ever!

Came across this little gem while searching for Thai food. This place will not disappoint you at all. The food is rich and flavorful. The papaya salad is ?. Our servers were friendly. Will definitely be coming back here.
Tried to place a to go order around 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon. Lady informed me that they have a large party and that it would be an hour for an order. Wow! This place has good food but I hope that large party was enough to cover the lost business that was being turned away due to the long wait time. Won't be coming back.

Restaurant was very dark, felt & looked dingy. Darkness covered up how dingy it was. My son pointed out the bugs in the lights that were off. Almost as if they're hiding the dirtiness. Service was horrible. Not once did they ask if we were okay, never re-filled our drinks, we literally sat there waiting to get his attention while he just kept looking at us & walking by. Food took forever. It was okay, large portions, good price but could use more flavor. Very disappointed in our experience. We had high expectations since it had 5 star review. We will never go back.

I recommend this shop. The atmosphere in the restaurant, the taste of food, the care and quantity of food. Nothing was flawless. I came to work at Tacoma for 2 days. I came to eat two days in a row. The shop owner's name is Jeremy. Friendly and very hospitable. I invited a friend to eat on the second day and they liked it. I recommend it. It's a bit of a drive from Seattle, but the taste is good and it's worth it.EnglishJeremy, the owner, was incredibly welcoming. The portions were generous, leaving me completely satisfied. This place exceeded all my expectations! Highly recommended for an authentic Thai experience.I definitely come back . Highly recommend!!!!!

Loak Toung is amazing and probably the most authentic Thai restaurant in the area. I can't say enough about the owners who seem like they know each guest in the restaurant and treat them as they are part of the family! My go to is their crying tiger(every bite is bursting with new flavors) which is normally a special but it's also very special as It's made with pork instead of your traditional beef at other local Thai restaurants that I have found but Every dish I've tried has been great as well! The restaurant is quaint with nice decor and would definitely fit into a casual date night as well! With the growing number of Thai restaurants in the area this is definitely a standout. Thanks guys for being so hospitable and putting out fantastic food!

Hidden gem in Tacoma for Thai food lovers. Outside area seems okay but the inside ambiance is totally different and the vibes are so cool. It feels like you are in different place. Never thought I would find such a restaurant here. Service and food was another plus plus.

Best pad woon sen I have ever tried and I've had a lot! I called for takeout and the woman who helped me was so kind. My whole order was ready when I got there with the food nice and hot and the drink staying cool in the fridge. Fairly priced respective to similar places today. Highly recommend and will be coming back! P.S. the spice level is 1-5, I ordered 3 and it was more than spicy enough for me!

Absolutely loved it here!!! You can dine in or get it to go! The atmosphere is so homey & comfortable. Waited about 20 minutes for my takeout order, but good food takes time!! It was so delicious and the portions are so BIG! I had so much leftover after I thought I ate so much. You can tell this family works hard to make sure they serve quality food and kindness. Will definitely be coming back here and trying the dine in option (:
