I had driven by the establishment many times over since they opened. I decided to take my lady friend there for a date night. I first noticed that the parking lot, or should I say lack of a parking lot with parking spaces to close small and to small . That was the first impression. Second was I had to part two blocks away in front of a home that the neighbors did not appreciate. My date and I had to endure dark street lighting along with uneven pavement to eventually arrive at the entrance to the establishment. We had to wait for 10 to fiftheen minutes before being seated even though they were not busy. Upon being seated for the cook in front of you experience, the wait staff took more than 10 minutes to bring us a menu, and we felt rushed to order while the server turned on the grill at the station. I ordered a ice tea with lemons. After another 10 minutes I was told that they were out and it would take an hour to make another batch. We asked for water with extra lemons only to receive four thinly sliced lemons for the both of us in a extra large glass of water. The soup came and it was not hot at all, it was dam near cold with not enough substance to mention. We were not treated as guest that should enjoy there first experience. Me and my date felt insulted by the wait staff. The only joy of our evening was the fun provided by the chef who gave us a great food experience, he was charismatic and made us smile. When the bill came the wait staff did not give me change so I could decide on the tip amount. the bill was $79.82 or something like that I put a $100.00 bill in the wrap and they gave me a $20.00 back. After the worst service I have ever had that they wanted the rest of my money. I left all the change and as we exited the restaurant the server smiled at me knowing they did not provide service worthy of the tip she earned. I will tell my influencing friends not to support this establishment.

So as soon as I got seated for the hibachi side, my wife and myself were only going to share a dish because we weren't very hungry but the require at least 2 orders to start it up. Our server had a pretty dry attitude trying to cover up her insecurities and attitude I'm sure, not sure u would call this a contemporary place cause they had american 70s and 80s songs playing while mixing with the Mexican music from the back. Not very good for our 5th. Anniversary. We went right when they opened but the wait for our main dish was quite long. Our cook han solo was amazing and really made it up for the lack of service and such. The steak was super tender, and i noticed the crab was switched for lobster, not mad but definitely different. By the way they need to make a share option for 2 people that are not that hungry. The prices are decent for what you get, my wife got the fried rice and it could have fed a village. Otherwise all in all decent. I'll be back for maybe a make up on the server lady's redo.

Great fresh quality of the sushi!
Menu has changed.
It's now only hibachi, or a bento box, or sushi.
There are no normal japanese dishes. What we did get were the bento boxes. almost 26$ and incredibly small portions. The chicken was dry over cooked and overall one of the worst dining experiences I've had in years.
I used to frequent this place before the menu change and had enjoyed every single thing ever ordered.

This place was great! The chef was amazing. The food was wonderful. The tables were a bit close together but still enjoyable.
Parking: If this place is busy parking is difficult go come by. There is street parking.
Kid-friendliness: They did well with our little. His meals was cut nice and small. The chef included him. They also had highchair to use.
