Nice retro vibe (time stood still since 1970s) wonderful and engaging staff! Cozy booths from bygone days. And excellent and well prepared breakfast foods! It's an experience to sit inside this homey environment!!! A fun time for me and friends!

Heard a great deal about this place from my co-workers at TPU. Many come here for breakfast. Got a chance recently to try it although I'm not a big breakfast fan but certainly appreciate a quality, hardy breakfast which is what I’ve heard they’re known for.

First walking in, we just missed the big crowd. It was about 10am and most folks were off to work so got to be seated right away. Definitely old school greasy spoon place which, sometimes are just the best. Good service, got menus and orders in fairly quickly and waitress was mostly attentive to us albeit she was new at this restaurant. I like waffles with strawberries on it but they had this thing called a “Stuffed Waffle” which people rave about so had to try it. I also ordered a side of sausage. My GF ordered breakfast platter w/scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns and a muffin. Also two small orange juices.

So.. this stacked waffle “house” was just a monstrosity! The cream cheese filling was overwhelming to me. If you want to avoid a sugar comatose incident I suggest steering away from this because it’s 100% sugar. Also I like a crispy waffle that holds up initially to a topping but unfortunately the cream filling just made the whole thing a soggy mess from the get-go. I can’t recommend it. As for the rest of the breakfast, my GF reports that it was good, perhaps a step up from IHOP but wasn’t anything to write home about. Orange juice wasn’t fresh so it was just ok. And as for the price of the meal… WAAAY too much for what you get. I mean, nearly a $50 ticket + tip.

Sorry Marcia’s… not sure I will be back. Can’t afford to eat there for the quality of food you get.

I cannot say enough great things about this place. Staff were so fantastic, kind, and attentive while being extremely busy. Food was amazing. I had minced ham and eggs with side of awesome country sausage gravy and my husband had 3 eggs and bacon that were all cooked to perfection. Oh and the grapefruit juice was the coldest I've ever had. It was fantastic. Also grab yourself a fresh hand scoop malt shake to go. Perfect ending. Can't wait to go back many many times.

We ate breakfast here on Labor Day and they were super busy, but their waiting list system was efficient so the wait was surprisingly short. AMAZING chicken fried steak and super fluffy pancakes. Service was top notch. We will be back for sure!!!

Home of the best omelette known to mankind. Better than many people can imagine: their Oyster Omelette. I know, for some people you shouldn't tell them until after they've eaten it. For people who "don't do oysters": Marcia has found the real reason oysters were created! Yes they are yummy!!!

Large portions and delicious food! Their coffee was good also. Had Marcia's omelette with pancakes. I couldn't eat both pancakes. Come hungry or plan to share or take leftovers.

Loved watching the waitress. What an old-fashioned people- and creativity-driven eatery! My steak and eggs was great. Fabulous and friendly service! A stalwart go-to. Love the 10% off for cash. Or was it 20?

Got the chicken fried steak and hash browns and it was a TON of food. My husband got an omelette and my friend got an omelette as well. Try their iced coffee as it was good and sweet!

Food and service is great! I love the little place and it's part in Tacoma's history. But, I don't get why they can't clean it up. It looks dirty and messy in there and people are not always comfortable eating there.

I would become a regular here if I lived closer, stopped by after an early morning airport drop off and had excellent service and delicious food. I had the Denver omelet and pancakes. The eggs were perfect with fresh ham and onions/peppers full at flavor. Pancakes were great also and I never saw the bottom of my coffee cup. People complain about price but good is expensive everywhere and you get great serving sizes.
