Some friends and I met up to celebrate our birthdays together. The service was not good. I joined my group about 10-15 min after they got there and sat there just as long if not longer for our server to at the very least, greet me. They never did. I ended up going to the bar to order my drink. Service was slow and not very attentive. But there was no problem trying to upsell us when they did finally remember to stop by the table. One of those times was to bring the check. Menu has limited options and it wasn’t anything I haven’t had at any other Italian restaurant. Over priced average food and service in a decent atmosphere.

Had reservations, arrived but hostess couldn't find it, showed the confirmation, was offered a seat at the bar. Had menus thrown at us (literally) by the obviously annoyed bartender. Food was ok, overpriced.

The food and drinks are good, and everything is pretty reasonably priced. I had the spaghetti carbonara, and it was a little salty, but pretty good. I also liked the olive oil cake. Others in our party had pizza, steak, or fish, or other pasta dishes, and everyone liked their food. Here’s why they are getting docked two stars: two days before our reservation, I received a call and was told that I needed to put down a $200 deposit, because my reservation was on a Saturday for 10 people. I went ahead and gave them my credit card information and they charged the deposit. However, this policy is not stated anywhere on their website or on OpenTable. If this policy truly exists, they should be transparent about this on their website and on their online reservation system.
We hadn't dined at Primo Grill for quite a while, and we are so glad we did! The service, the food and the atmosphere were all wonderful! We will be returning again soon!

Great service in a neighborhood that has great vibe. The drinks were first rate and the food was good. The prices were a little expensive for pizza and pasta. Three entrees, two mixed drinks, & two desserts were over $160. The desserts were fabulous. We would come back.

Our server was great but the prices didn’t seem to reflect for the food. I’m more of a price conscious person, but the food was by no means mind blowing. Pretty, maybe, but not a lot of it and I was not all that impressed.

Lucia and the staff were unobtrusively attentive. The food was excellent and the portions generous.
They lose a star for a 20% “service charge.” I appreciate that the cost of doing business and providing benefits is high. But a service charge in a restaurant, when I’m paying for service is at once disingenuous and an insult to my intelligence. I’d rather see the menu price cover the cost of doing business than have it a footnote at the bottom of the menu and the check.
