Good food. But no croissants? Not very many actually French options. They need signs for their items and prices marked. And they should offer to warm things up. I think this place has great potential with a few changes. But I’m not very eager to return for now. Hopefully they improve! Don’t really care for the political message either.

I'm a massive bagel and cream cheese person. These are definitely the best bagels and cream cheese in the area. However, I have yet to try anything else at Proof that I like. Blueberry muffin, cinnamon rolls, and then a Bundt cake we're all dry. Also be wary of coming to the store late in the day for a bagel- mine have definitely been stale on the past.

I'm always looking for "good vibes" cafés. Proof is trying, but they are just missing the mark. Staff was friendly. No dairy free options for food. No marketing on their Togo cups. I actually had to through out my coffee... This place has the potential to meet there goals.

Great taste to the drink, but I paid 8 dollars for a 16 oz hot drink and only half of the cup was filled....

We have been looking for a good traditional bagel in the Tacoma area since we moved here. I got an everything bagel, my husband got a pizza bagel, we split a cinnamon roll and got a loaf of sourdough for home. The bagels were really good! They had the right crunch on the outside and a softer inside. The everything was a little salty but not bad. The cinnamon roll was good except the icing was really sweet. I ended up taking it off because it was too much. We also enjoyed the sourdough loaf but it did not really taste like sourdough. It was good bread, but did not have any of the sour taste. Over all, it was a cute shop with a good bagel.

It’s a hit or (mostly) miss every time. I’ve come early AM/PM, and the variety can be scarce. The bagels are delicious. Cream cheese can be over salted at times. The quiche I’ve tried twice and was never served warm and a tad undercooked - had to warm it at home in the oven. Cinnamon buns were good. Seasonal treats were a hit or miss. Iced coffee was served in paper cups which turned into soggy mess. It tasted like watered down oat milk. I’ve had a great Latte my first visit, but the quality kept going down after that. After the third visit, I decided that this will not be an option for me.

Love, Love Love!!! My BFF and I are in love with Netflix Emily In Paris. It has given us a craving for a great croissant! So after our long walk with my sister in McKinley Park this morning, we did a google search for a Patisserie in Tacoma and discovered this wonderful and quaint little cafe. The baked goods are AMAZING, and the people are so nice. I highly recommend!!!

The bagels here are not a game. Got a salt bagel and jejjsnahejjsj. Like I have no words for the deliciousity. My coffee wasn't great, and there wasn't any ice. So my iced drink was more like room temp. BUT the bagels were so good and the pastries looked just as tasty that it made up for the less than stellar coffee. Plus, that could've just been an off day. Totally going to try food and coffee again.

Very cute and chic place. Folks love to come in just to get a selfie in front of their apparently famous flower wall with the neon explicitive. Poor things are caught up in the construction zone at the moment. Parking is on the side of the building. I was lucky to get a spot. We got there at noon. It was not much available to choose from. We got the veggie quiche and split a cinnamon roll. Although we asked for the food to be heated, it was still quite cold. Quiche had a good crust, but otherwise just okay. The cinnamon roll had good frosting and was moist, but otherwise just okay as well. The gentleman that waited on us was kind and polite, and willing to answer all our questions. They say they've been there nearly a year. The variety you see in pictures online was not what we saw at this visit. That was disappointing.

Went there to pick up a birthday cake for my 1 year old grandson. Marie (the owner) made a small sample of the Strawberry Cheesecake that was also purchased for the party. So after the incredible blueberry muffin that I had for breakfast while we waited, I had a small strawberry cheesecake for breakfast. It was fabulous. What an incredible treat.Marie is such a wonderful young lady and takes fabulous care of my kids who live out here. Too bad I don't have an option for more than 5 stars, she would get all of them.

Proof Patisserie & Cafe, located on busy MLK Jr. Way in Tacoma, offers a selection of baked goods and drinks though I feel the pastries look better than they actually taste. This is a bakeshop that subsists only on appearing trendy and modern without having the substance of actual good baking and well-crafted drinks. I was thoroughly disappointed. 1) Service (+): Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. She was very apologetic about there not being any ice for the cold drinks we ordered. 2) Ambience (+): I love the trendy and brightly lit atmosphere of the bakeshop - the flower covered back wall is also an influencer magnet 3) Food (-): There was a small selection of savory and sweet pastries on display but the taste was very mediocre. We ordered the quiche, which was nothing to write home about, and a pistachio pound cake that was overly sweet and lacking in flavor. 4) Drinks (-): We came here on a warm, late summer weekend and ordered iced matcha lattes but were told the store did not have any ice. The lukewarm drinks were not good and overly sugary and powdery. 5) Value for Money (-): $30+ for mediocre pastries and disgusting lukewarm drinks is definitely not a good deal.

I don't usually frequent bakeries very often, but I'm so glad I came across this one! One particular morning, I was jonesing for a bagel, and since this place is less than a mile away from where I am, I just had to go in! This place had just opened (I think?) so it wasn't super busy (I'm not a huge morning person, so it was very peaceful lol!) The toasted everything bagel was spot-on and came out quickly and the caramel latte was delectable. Service was friendly and warm. Very cosmopolitan, chic decor especially the accent wall on the far back! I had to snap a pic for myself. What a hidden gem in the heart of the Hilltop neighborhood!

I hosted my bridal shower at proof and it was beautiful and the food was delicious. Marie is responsive, creative and helped make the process super easy.
