Randomly saw this place nestled in a residential neighborhood and decided to stop in. Very glad that I did ? Nice comfortable atmosphere, very clean place. Got a great sandwich and then a beer that I sat outside on their available benches to drink. Absolutely nothing bad to say about this place, will be

On DoorDash, I’d give it a 5/5 but in person it’s a 3/5. In person, expect to spend 30-40 minutes for your food no matter what you order. Our first time in person we thought it was a fluke since it was a sunny summer day but today we went again to give it another try for lunch and it took 35 minutes after ordering two regular sandwiches! People all around us were waiting quite a bit for their food too. That being said, the food is always good. We’ll order again for delivery, just not a fan of waiting that long for our food.

My family and I discovered this place when looking for something different to eat within Tacoma. The little shop reminds me of a wine & cheese bar, which is cute. The food was VERY basic and not worth the money, though. Alittle disappointing.

Loved this neighborhood restaurant. Loved the business of locals who could walk-in or drive to with this location. Food was amazing. Best tuna fish sandwich we have had in ages. Service

I really wanted to like this place. Menu sounds good, just a little pricey. Got the peasant plate and it was really good! Just wish they stated what the cheeses were and gave WAY more fruit. 4 slices of apple, 4 pear, and 6 grapes cut in half with a small baguette and 3 wedges of cheese for 14.50. Really good though. Then my pear and cranberry salad came..not sure if its there normal stuff but it looked like someone went to trader joe, bought a mixed salad, cut carrot, and feta to put this together. Veggies tasted terrible and clearly not freshly cut or prepared. Dressing was also really weird and off. Supposed to be basalmic and it tasted like olive oil colored brown so I didn't touch it.Husband got the pot pie and he said he really enjoyed it, but the chicken was off. Ironically again, tasted like someone went to trader joe and bought precooked chicken. The dish was also not very deep so it was a light pot pie for the price, but he liked the seasoning. The place was VERY loud (due to customers not staff) and really stuffy. I wish they kept the door open because it was getting uncomfortably warm and a good 15-20 degrees warmer than outside. Staff was friendly enough and typical of the PNW.Parking: Very limited spaces

They were extremely busy, but the staff was very friendly. We were promptly seatedThe order taker was friendly. We ordered 2 vanilla iced coffees, a rosewood deluxe, and a Cubano. Both sandwiches were very good and the coleslaw side was fantastic. The bread was toasted to perfection. We also ordered 2 sour worm gummie Italian sodas, which were sweet and refreshing. Total $56.00, not including tip. We feel this was a good value considering the friendly service and quality. We will definitely come back. Very highly recommend.

The food was delicious! And the service was amazing - our waitress was running all the tables and was still extremely kind and attentive. This restaurant was so cute, unique and welcoming.

We found this little gem, after getting lost. I'm so glad we did.My kids finished their plates and they loved their sour gummy drink treat. My oldest boy was obsessed with all the original pictures from the Cafe. He was examining all the walls to find where the changes had happened.I had a really good salad and my husband had a sandwich.Definitely worth the trip there.

I do not know what happened last week at the Rosewood Café, but the service was just horrible. I typically do not want to comment about the appearance of servers, but in this case it is relevant to the review. Probably the most disturbing thing about this visit was that one of the servers was disheveled and looked like he had not showered in days. There were two male servers there and they were disorganized, such that food that should have arrived in less than 15 minutes took 30 minutes. Request for coffee refills were lost somewhere in the recesses of our server's mind. Although the food had great flavor, the tuna melt did not have melted cheese, the cheese was barely warmed up. Given that fact and based upon the rest of our experience this seems like it was more a problem with service than it was with the kitchen. This was not our first visit to Rosewood Café as we have eaten there frequently because the food has always been outstanding and the service had previously always been excellent. This trip was just a huge disappointment, and the owners need to take a look at training and expectations of their servers. One final note - While we were waiting for food, one customer came in and after 10 minutes left because no one ever approached him.

We've been wanting to try this place for a while and finally took our daughter. Unfortunately we were not impressed. While I had a decent turkey sandwich, nothing memorable, my husband had an okay pot pie that was basically chicken soup with a bread top, no bottom. My teen got the salmon with honey something or other on it and she was not a fan. It came with beautiful but bland potatoes and what my husband referred to as the worst broccoli he's ever had. He keeps saying he doesn't know how you can mess up broccoli that bad. Gum didn't even take the taste out of his mouth. It was also tiny, extremely loud and very busy which was fine, but not for me.

My first visit. Saw their listing on Yelp and never knew this place existed and I am 5 blocks away. Staff was extremely nice. I had the Blackened Salmon Caesar Salad. Outstanding! I will definitely be back to try other dishes. The menu had several items I want to try.

This place has never let me down. Their food is fresh, well prepared. They offer a good variety and nice sized servings and a nice atmosphere. They also have outside dining during warm weather.
