Few places in tacoma have such unique and creative flavor profiles that are extremely well balanced. The menu that the owners have crafted is worth exploring, but the Starrk and the Pastramartini are my favorite items.
The Pastrami is house-made and it is INCREDIBLE, and the monthly specials are always worth a try as well!

Sandwich Starr is a fine place to get a good casual meal. Good sandwiches, full bar, good music and friendly people. They have built a bit of a community here in the struggling Stadium District, with different activities every night as well as a happy hour. I like this place.

Possibly the best sandwiches in Tacoma. Good portion sizes, great flavor, reasonably priced.
Great for lunch, takeout, or even drinks for a more casual night out.
Awesome addition to the north end!

Sandwich Starr needs its flowers.
FOOD: Menu packed with creativity/artisanship. Thoughtfully curated ingredients. Featured baked goods from Tacoma small businesses. Great coffee. Wine/beer/cocktail lists serve all pallets.
Fave sando: Chidi
Fave indulgence: Costello
Fave cocktail: To Life
SERVICE: Owner promotes community, heavy need to a neighborhood rocked by recent closures of cherished spots. Staff’s bought in, the dynamic’s familial, translates to kind/prompt service to the customers.
ATMOSPHERE: Garnering “third-space” feel. Read in a corner for public incognito mode, sit at the bar for a friendly-tended dive feel, or meet friends for a game/puzzle. Events are a unique spread for the immediate area. Local comedians & live music, drag, karaoke, bingo, trivia, brewery nights, & movie screenings.
Fun team to root for, hope to see them grow!

My favorite sandwich place in the Pacific Northwest. I had the Locaine which was toasted perfectly with perfect blend of meats, cheese and veggies. Good selection of wine and beer.

I like quiet; Starr qualifies except for the loudspeakers with commercial pop, as is too common. High quality sandwiches with fresh veggies in them. Nice people 👍 classic string quartet, anyone?

Thank you to Sandwich Starr for your generous donation of delicious sub sandwiches for every teacher and support staff member at Browns Point Elementary. This wonderful gesture during Teacher Appreciation Week truly reflects Sandwich Starr's commitment to our community and their recognition of the hard work and dedication our educators put in.
Thank you, Trey Beattie at Sandwich Starr, for showing appreciation to TEACHERS by treating all the teachers and support staff at Browns Point Elementary to a delicious and healthy lunch! Please support this incredibly generous local business. They DONATED enough lunches for EVERY STAFF MEMBER at Browns Point Elementary! Our teachers and students have been working SO hard over the last few weeks with state testing, and this amazing gift really lifted our teachers' spirits. Trey and his staff went above and beyond to show how important supporting local schools is to his small business. They even came in before their shop opened this morning to make all the sandwiches so that our teachers could have them in time for their lunches!!!

Food was pretty good, but the sandwiches weren't really that big. The atmosphere is pretty inviting and they have lots of games to play.prices are a little high for the size of the sandwich. I did enjoy the pickle. It seemed home made.

The sandwiches are very good, but this price is not justified by the portion. The pastrami has good flavor, but would have a better texture if it was cut in thinner slices.

Absolutely love this place, the staff is very sweet and easy going while the food is to die for. Fresh, perfect portions and combinations of delicious flavors and ingredients. Found them and have been back atleast once a week if not a few times during the same week.
They also serve beautifully crafted espresso and offer mad hat tea.
