Lovely establishment to dine in. I came for a Mother’s Day breakfast. Atmosphere is beautiful. One of my favorite things about this place was when I sat at my outdoor table I had a complimentary blanket in case I wanted to warm up. Absolutely totally used it!! My choice was a mushroom omelette. I was informed that the mushrooms on my plate were locally foraged.. as my plate arrived I noticed the cute little mushrooms I’ve seen on a few of my hikes! Now I know they are edible! The omelette was complemented by a side dish of cheesy grits. Also at the table was a bowl of French onion soup and their French toast. All items ordered were delicious. The atmosphere was classy and upscale but not stuffy. Staff was friendly, classy as you’d expect in this type of restaurant and helpful.
I certainly would like to come back.
I have been here for both brunch and dinner and love their fresh, seasonal menu! During the cold winter months, the dining room is so quaint and cozy, but the terrace overlooking Commencement Bay is wonderful during warmer months! I had the Tarragon Chicken Piccata and loved this unique twist so much that now I think I am going to plant tarragon in my garden! Hubby had the lamb and it was also delish. We are wine enthusiasts and that was the only suggestion I have…a better wine list. We love pairing a nice wine with dinner and their list is super disappointing. And with a $35 corkage fee it makes this a tough place for people who are wine drinkers!
An absolutely wonderful first dinner experience here celebrating my wife's birthday. Bread and salad were great starters and her chicken dish amazing and my lamb chops stunning. The desserts of creme brulee and strawberry cheesecake awesome. Great dinner. Service awesome. Wonderful staff. (Wine list needs improvement and corkage unreasonable. )
Lovely atmosphere for spendy good but not great and not quite authentic French cuisine.
Such a great place! We had brunch in the garden and enjoyed the bay views. The food, drinks, and service are all top notch. We will be back for dinner sometime soon! Make sure to reserve a table in advance.
Four of us booked a reservation for last night. Fabulous service food and drinks! Waitstaff were friendly and on their game. Beautiful setting in their back deck watching the sunset change the colors over Brown's Point.
One of our favorite Tacoma restaurant however sadly portions and quality of food has significantly decreased :/
Service was exceptional as always.
Very beautiful interior, friendly staff, delicious food. I got the pork eggs Benedict and the blackberry spritzer was delicious. My partner got the banana waffle and I tried it and it was very good. Overall a good experience
Delicious food, attentive, friendly service, beautiful atmosphere and view. What more could we ask for?
Love this place. Good with allergies. Small and intimate. Recommend making a reservation but not difficult to get in advance. Love sitting outside - there are blankets on every chair and it's covered with heaters AND you can see the water!

We went for dinner here for Mother's day yesterday and I was really disappointed. The atmosphere on the patio was lovely. I ordered French Onion soup and it was just ok. The broth was thin. Hardly any cheese or onions. The main course took forever to come. My burger was delicious but my daughter burger was cold. For a twenty two dollar burger plus tip I will take my patronage elsewhere.
I came here before a metal show nearby, and they treated me like I was here to see a ballet. The owner was the coolest woman ever and made me a badass drink for the road. Now THAT is service.
The local forged mushroom omelet was the best omelet I’ve had in whole life. Coffee was delicious! The atmosphere was amazing. Lots of plants and flowers in bloom.
Great halibut!
Came for our 4th anniversary, sat in the garden. Lovely atmosphere, small and curated menu with a solid variety of items. We had a charcuterie plate, some cocktails, the French onion soup, lamb chops and duck l’orange. One of the best meals I’ve ever had and at a fairly reasonable price!
My only complaint is that service was slow at the start, but there was a large party taking up a lot of room and effort so I can hardly fault them for that. Will be back next year for our 5th.
