Hidden Gem in tacoma. Very tasty and bohemian posh. I loved the breakfast and view on outdoor patio. Definitely coming back for brunch. Must try if you enjoy French food!

Food was great, drinks were okay. Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. Our food took a little while to arrive, which wasn’t a problem, but before we were even halfway through our meal our server started making it clear we were expected to wrap up. About an hour in, she began coming by every 10 minutes — first dropping the check without us asking, then bringing a box while people were still eating, and finally telling us she needed the table for another group arriving in 10 minutes. She interrupted us so often that it became incredibly awkward. In the end, she came back again to say, “Oh actually another table opened up, so you can stay as long as you want.” The whole experience felt rushed and uncomfortable. Had we known we’d be pressured to leave mid-meal, we wouldn’t have gone.

The server was not nice and the two parties of the reservation were reserved totally different spots.

We had a wonderful experience at Le Sel. Celebrated my nieces birthday and they truly made her feel special. Food was fantastic as was the service. Would come here again.

Staff is super nice and helpful! However, I was underwhelmed with the food and atmosphere. For how hard it is to do a walk-in here, I was expecting to have the best brunch in Tacoma.

After tip, I ended up paying $50 for a savory French toast and 8oz latte. The food was ok, nothing that would make me want to come back.

It feels like I’m paying a tax for a DIYed Parisian vibe…

My family held a retirement dinner for my Dad at Le Sel and we simply could not be more pleased. We struggled to find a fine dining spot in Tacoma that could host a larger party without an ungodly fee and were so happy we found Le Sel. The food was exceptional, the service was genuinely kind, and the location was gorgeous. We felt cared for and that truly matters. Thank you - we'll be back for brunch!

I scheduled a reservation for my birthday at this restaurant in July of 2021. I was super excited and had heard great things about this place. I had my heart set on it .
I arrived for the reservation with a party of seven people only to find a note on the door saying they were closed due to staffing issues.
Now it's one thing if you have to close, but any reasonable person would call the reservations and let them know that they were no longer available. We were not able to have my birthday brunch because there was nowhere available for that day at the last minute.
Had we at least been given notice that morning we could've scrambled to find something. I will never ever ever eat at this place because what they did was absolutely rude.
Then, even after my complaint and a message I left at the restaurant, no one bothered to call me back or apologize or attempt in anyway to right the situation.
-These aren't people that I want to spend my money with .

Glad I finally tried this place, and I’ll definitely be back, but it fell short of five stars.

We were seated 15-20 minutes after our reservation time (we arrived 10 minutes early), and then it was more long waiting to place drink and food orders, and an even longer wait for the food to arrive. Nearly an hour had passed before we got our appetizer. We tried the warm brie, which was delicious, though small (cheese itself), probably best shared between two people max. I ordered the bacon omelette, and was shocked at how small it was. However, it was delicious. The bacon itself was fantastic.

The biggest pain point of the meal is that we were sat at the wobbly table right across from the bathrooms. And the are smelled strongly of toilet bowl cleaner, which intensified whenever folks came in and out of the bathroom doors. Definitely suggest some form of better ventilation.

I definitely don’t hold that against them. And I really would like to come back and book a seat on the patio, sample some of the cocktails that sounded great. But the very long awkward service, high price for the quantity of the food, and the bathroom smell at our table definitely tarnished this first visit.

This is a reservation only place unless there are not reservations for all the tables then they allow walk-ins. Our first time here. We went at 11am on a Thursday and it took 2 hours for two people to dine inside the restaurant. A chair we sat in was cloth and was stained with previous guests food droppings. We ordered two mimosas and one was in a dirty glass with crusted food around the rim. The server replaced with a fresh drink and glass. Glasses are on the table with a carafe of water if you choose to have water. One of the water glasses at our table had a film of sticky substance on the exterior of it. Our server exchanged the glass. We ordered an appetizer. Small plates were provided and one of the plates had food on it.

While the appetizer and main dishes were very good, the service was mediocre, and the atmosphere (including chairs and dishes) was far below standard.

For 2 drinks (one alcohol and one non-alcoholic), 1 appetizer, and 2 dishes it was $140 with tip. As if all of this wasn't bad enough, they asked to box our remaining food which we allowed. Upon returning home, one of the food items was not included in our box therefore they must have thrown it away.

The amount of money, the atmosphere, and the lack of overall awareness of standards makes me never want to return. I would NOT recommend this place. The food being good did not offset the negative experience and these people have nerve claiming to be a reservation place with outrageous prices when multiple dishes were dirty and no high level of standards.

The unsanitary conditions of the dishes makes me wonder about contributing to people getting food poisoning.

I came here with my daughter and was promptly seated and received a courteous service. I could tell it was a popular spot and it was quite busy - we were seated outside with beautiful city view.

The mushroom omelette was amazing and potato had just the right seasoning and softness. Price was above average for the portion, but the view and flavor made it worth it.

That is until I was food poisoned.

I haven’t had any food yesterday, and this was the only meal I had today. Since I was so busy I haven’t been able to make time to eat properly, but I’ve no underlying medical issues.

So I’m writing this with severe abdominal pain and barely made the drive back home…. It looks like someone else got sick here 5 months ago, so makes me wonder on sanitation.
