Phenomenal. If I could give it 10 stars I would. I've lived near this place for a very long time but have not checked it out until today. We had the chicken pad thai, and it was amazing. Great quality, large portions, reasonable prices.

The restaurants interior is decorated with authentic thai art and it feels like going to another country the moment you step in.

I highly recommend this restaurant.

Wow! So glad I finally stopped here after driving by so many times. I started with pear sake (terrific!), had their green curry with extra vegetables (loved the Thai eggplant) and Phad See Ewe with beef (yum). The food was delish, the staff was humble and gracious with just the right amount of attentiveness. I wasn’t in a hurry for dinner when I arrived, which is good because the food did take a while to come out, about 30 minutes from the time I was seated to the food being delivered. For a Sunday evening, the place was packed with locals, which was also a testament to their reasonable pricing, great food and great service. The place is full of so many Buddhas and Thai decor items I couldn’t even count, what a cool vibe. It’s really a neat place, don’t let the stripmall outward appearance fool you. This is a true gem, I’ll be back.

Food & service are excellent. Love eating here. Small intimate comfortable atmosphere. The food is different then most other Thai restaurants. Many of the same familiar dishes, along with some different ones, but all taste fresh with incredible flavors. Our Tacoma friends love going here as well.

Silk Thai Cafe is simply amazing on all fronts. The menu is substantial, the food unparalleled, and the service exceptional.

I expected the atmosphere to be crowded and tacky from the descriptions, but it is very tastefully adorned, and fascinatingly so. The cultural artifacts the owners have chosen to share with their diners are enthralling and educational.

We arrived with a group of five to celebrate my sibling’s birthday, and coincidentally, there were two other parties of five who showed up minutes later… also celebrating birthdays. The server handled all parties - and the many subsequent to-go orders - with aplomb.

We enjoyed our food and experience. Silk Thai Cafe is a hidden gem of Tacoma history.

Such delicious food with phenomenal pricing, hard to find such a great value anymore. Plenty of parking for the small, intimate restaurant. We had the crispy tofu and fresh rolls to start. I love that the rolls come with picked veggies on the side with peanut sauce. Both starters were delicious and well seasoned. Went with noodles and enjoyed pad thai with tofu and pad see ew with chicken, the noodles are heaven and the sweet sauce blends everything together with great depth of flavor. Love having a local spot like this!

This is a really lovely Thai place. The guy that works up front is very passionate about the place, he took the time to not only ask how we found out about this place, but also how we felt about the place and its food when we left. The waiter seemed a little nervous, but he made up for it with how attentive and kind he was. The food itself was good, not the best Thai I’ve ever had, but definitely something I’d enjoy coming back to. I got the Spicy Chicken and Basil, which I had had in other places before. It wasn’t as good as other places, in my opinion, but it was still good and spicy. My mom got Terriyaki Chicken, which I think was my favorite of the things we got. Very flavorful, and it came with a salad which I didn’t personally try, but she said was very good. My brother got the Dan Dan Noodles, which weren’t my thing because I don’t like peanuts, but even so I can say it was rather pleasant. The noodles were the perfect texture. I also got mango juice, which was delicious. I might be biased since I love mangos, but it tasted fresh. Kind of felt like someone squeezed a mango into my cup and didn’t do anything else to it, unlike the mango juice you get where they’ve added sugar or milk to make it “better” (not referring to the Indian mango drink, lassi, which is a whole other thing that I also enjoy). Oh yeah, and we got the Veggie Rolls as an appetizer. Nothing crazy, just spring rolls, but they were very good. They came with what I think was duck sauce as well, which I love. Overall I’d say this place is definitely recommend by me, and we will be coming back.

Been here twice and the food is very tasty. One thing they could improve on is providing more meat with the dish you order. I had 4 to 5 small chunks of meat. I left hungry both times I ate here. Service was friendly and atmosphere was great. Recommend to treat yourself.

Our server Sam was stellar, quick, friendly, polite, and personable. He mad us feel right at home. The food was outstanding. ( the best Tai food in the state.) Dessert was also amazing, and the kicker was that it all is at a reasonable price. I was so impressed, even the atmosphere was amazing. Not apparent at all from the street. I just became a regular, me and my family. Great job! I'm in. 100%

Great service via the phone and at pickup but the tofu in both the drunken noodles and Phad Thai was raw (which is great for some people) but I was expecting it to be fried/cooked like everywhere else I’ve been. The Phad Thai noodles also felt a little small and lacked spice despite being a 5 spicy. The tofu fresh rolls DID have cooked tofu, very good and hefty portion for them. Peanut dipping sauce was great too.

I love thai food and have wanted to stop here a while. I'm glad I did because the food was excellent, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was good. I'll definitely be returning.
