Spud's Pizza Parlor Reviews

Spud's Pizza Parlor has been a Tacoma staple for over 50 years, with a nostalgic atmosphere that takes customers back to the 70's. Despite some changes over the years, the restaurant still serves decent food, including salads and pizzas, although some customers have experienced slow service and forgotten orders. The community feel is strong, and the staff is friendly, though the atmosphere can be a bit cramped, with seating arrangements that could be improved. The restaurant features a smoking area and is known for their pizza, especially the hot honey pizza and sausage party pizza. Recent reviews highlight that the pizza and spudder chips are still as good as in the past, with the dinner salad remaining fresh and cheesy, though the dressing is now served on the side. Customers appreciate the quiet, never crowded environment and the choice of music, making it a good place to eat with friends during lunch. Service can be slow, especially at the bar or upper level, but sitting at the bar counter often results in quicker service. The staff, particularly Tiffany, is praised for being welcoming and hardworking, deserving of recognition. Parking can be a challenge, and service experiences vary, with some mentioning slow or rude staff. Despite some issues, Spud's remains a beloved spot for those seeking a classic, no-frills dining experience with a community feel.
