Over the last year Tacoma brewing has become a favorite spot. I have visited it a bunch over the last 6 months specifically. The beer is excellent, the new location is amazing, the small events they put on is awesome. I really enjoy going and truly miss visiting during the covid. I highly recommend this place for sure.

Amazing staff and great beer selection! I love their IPA's and their Red and Pale Ale are incredible!!! Their on the top of my list of favorite beers! I will definitely come back soon and hope they can open the tap room soon!

I enjoyed the beer, and the show

A little bit of a hidden entrance, easy to pass by this place and not notice it. The beer is by far the best I've had in Tacoma!

An amazing space with the nicest people and some very solid beers. They're on an alley (Court E) moving up the hill from UWT. The parking might be hit or miss on a busy day, but there are spots along the curbside. You come through an old industrial door into a high-ceilinged taproom with exposed brick walls and shiny concrete floors. The front wall is full of windows, and they can open the doors in nice weather. There's a long bar over there, a shuffleboard table, and plenty of elbow room to hang out and shoot the breeze. The bathrooms are new, nice, and clean. You can bring kids, but no dogs. They have a couple snacks behind the bar, and you can bring in outside food (including at least one pizzeria that doesn't charge for delivery to this spot). The beers here range from okay to truly great, depending on the style and the batch. There are lots of IPAs and big stouts and such, along with a variety of other styles. I tried most of them yesterday, and all had big flavors that hit the spot on a cool, damp winter afternoon. One of the IPAs was a little tougher to finish, but everything else hit the spot. I tried 8 things (4-oz pours, not just samples), and it was $17. Very reasonable. They have some of the coolest brand graphics in town, too--it was tempting to get a shirt or look for other swag, and their glasses are cool. I've been digging their beers for a long time, and I'll be back often when I'm in town.

Love the staff and love the craft! Haven't found a better place and I don't think I will.

Delicious beer in a laid-back, family friendly taproom? What's not to love about this place?? Morgan has spent the past 7+ years refining some of the best local microbrews to be found anywhere, and is always experimenting with new, far-out flavors too. Tacoma Brewing Co. recently expanded to include Tacoma Cider Co. under the same roof, so there's even more good stuff to try out here :-) The tap room is located on an alley just below Tacoma Ave. It's not the most 'happening' part of town, but that's OK-- the large, old brick structure is pretty cool in it's own right, and the collection of old pinball machines, arcade games, board games, vinyl records, and a shuffleboard table give patrons plenty of options to pass the time while enjoying a tasty beverage. No food here, but patrons are welcome to bring their own or order delivery. Occasionally, there will be a special event here with a food truck parked outside, too. I've been visiting Tacoma Brewing Co. regularly since they opened in 2012 (at a location closer to Stadium District), and still enjoy it every time :-)

Great drinks and cocktails. Sadly, they ran out of most things by 8:00.

Window Breaker... is a perfect IPA; clean, with a light citrus bite and bold flavor. Intense yet balanced. I would take it over Bell's Two Hearted IPA, which I drank for years. If you know beer, then you know that's a bold statement.

Great hidden gem in Tacoma! Checked it out and they have a great selection of beer and not too expensive. Staff was incredibly nice and laid back - check out their record selection and if you like something they will throw it on!

Good beer that's well priced with a great ambiance. They have open mic nights on Saturdays from what I saw this past weekend I was there. They also have arcades and pinball machines to play while you have your beer. Looks like they only open on the weekends and parking can be challenging if you get there after 4pm. They do close early so I would plan on arriving early to properly enjoy a few beers. 6 packs are only $10 and I recommend having the Broken Window IPA.

My friends and I come here about once a month. I like the lighter beers and they like the dark ones. Staff is always friendly and smiling. Great music too. Strongly recommended.

This is the CURRENT address. I like the cider. He likes nothing really. Good location, close to Alma Matter.
