It's a small place, pretty standard when you just walk in. Now, let me tell you why I thought it was great! I ordered teriyaki chicken breast with extra meat and no rice sub extra veggies, sauce on the side. My friend ordered the teriyaki chicken and katsu chicken combo. The food all came our right and pretty quickly. We ate there, and I was a little different to get all of our own supplies. The tables were clean and well maintained. They have a little bit nicer round chopstick and very small cups for water (4 oz). The house made hot sauce was amazing and my friend loved it as well. While we were there, it was pretty slow. We were the only table for a while. The family came out and ate together. I thought this was nice. We were self-sufficient, and I was nice to see a family eat together today when we are constantly being driven apart.I will be back for the great food and laid back chill vibes with a touch of family.

I have very fond memories of coming to this restaurant when I was a kid in middle school with my brothers and mom. I would have the orange chicken + chow mein or teriyaki chow mein, and the egg drop soup was always a hearty, warm, comforting appetizer while waiting for our meals. The radio would play, sun coming through the blinds, and we’d be greeted with smiling faces of the owners who’d remember us coming back every time. I no longer live in Tacoma, but I think of this place often and am glad to see it is still in business (I am hoping of still the same owners). Their food was excellent and affordable, and will always remind me of what I called home. I was 10. I’m 23 now, and still haven’t forgotten it… I’m not sure how the area is holding up today, but as long as this place is open, I know I’ll always have somewhere to go back to for some great Japanese cuisine.

Food is ok Teriyaki taste like bbq sauce with a hint of teriyaki. Chicken was dry and probably overcooked. Chow mein was good. Don't ask for anything extra cuz it will cost just for the sauce it was .55 cents. The soup was on the house and it was good the tea wasn't bad...All and all I give the food 6.0It was just ok. My personal Opinion I probably would not go back just because of prices and food taste $18.00...The guy taking my order was kinda rude and stand off no help with trying to help me order or point out thing as to being my first time trying this place...Parking: Tight parking lot.

Come here a lot, when I order the teriyaki chicken regular it comes out rubbery and undercooked so I started asking for well done, well I guess well done means: completely burnt and almost inedible unless I want to take 30 mins of my time cutting every piece of burnt chicken off. I mentioned it multiple times and yet the results are still the same, might be time to start looking for a different place to eat at . .

We asked to have the rice substituted for chow mein, they said they could do that no problem. We ordered 2 combo meals and an order of egg rolls - should’ve been about $45. They charged us $61 and refused to explain why or issue a refund. Shady as hell. Folks don’t have extra money like that. This was the first & last time we’ll ever go there.
