The Bartender is terrible no personality and rude
Great staff and great view. Enjoyed oysters and wine.
Stopped in on a whim and had a great time sitting outside enjoying fresh seafood. Came back a little later and passed the evening chatting with the bar staff about crafting drinks and various spirits.
Have returned several times to share the experience with friends and dine by ourselves, and always enjoy the menu options and rotating drink specials.
We went to peddlers for a family birthday dinner. When we arrived there was a lot of open seating in the dining room. We did have a party of 5 which would require moving 2 tables together however there were a lot of open tables for this to happen. After checking on the wait time considerably after the amount of time we were told the wait would be (10-15m) I noticed that all of the people who arrived after us were seated and we’d not been given seating 15 minutes after our projected wait time ended. After another 7 minutes they finally put 2 tables together for us. We were given water but not offered a chance to make a drink order. After the waiter ran off with our food order I had to flag him down and ask if we could order drinks. He responded with “sure what flavor would you like?” The food was okey but not consistent at all. My small Mac and cheese was good where my moms tasted like the skipped the Cheese entirely. The rest was okey. After the food was delivered the waiter came back to ask if we had all the “supplies” we needed…. I’d not noticed yet but I didn’t have a seafood fork in my “supplies bowl” so my daughter gave me hers. Literally never been asked if I had all the supplies I needed at a restaurant before in my life. I don’t know if it was his first day in restaurant service and the hostess has short term memory loss and just can’t seem to remember a group of 5 people waiting or if it was something else. It honestly felt like it had to do with our mixed race group we had because everyone else seemed to be getting excellent service. Drinks, food, timely seating. Idk for a $230 dinner I was extremely underwhelmed. Honestly they are lucky I even tipped $25 because it was almost $0. The bartender seemed to make some sort of effort towards the end at the extreme least so that was for him.
24 dollar seafood nachos, ask for side of salsa charged $1dollar for 2oz cup, bland clam chowder just potatoes recipes have changed cost cutting on quality but raising prices for the worse used to be my goto spot no more, better places to be had sorry to see this place go down hill
I wasn't sold on the service or flavors. Just ok
We really loved our first visit to the Fish Peddler on Sunday. I had the Halibut fish and chips, my friend had the Salmon burger. Both were excellent and the appetizer was delicious. We'll definitely go back.
Food is good but the patio on a warm day was great.
A little pricey, but good food and service.

I didn't think to grab photos since I was out with friends, but we stopped in here after doing a Halloween event at the nearby museum with the kids. It was normal busy, inside was a little cold but the atmosphere was nice and our server was awesome, having 4 kids under 6 in tow is no easy feat and she handled the chaos with professionalism. My girlfriend and I ordered the lobster roll, Connecticut style, and it was absolutely divine. The meat was tender, the bread warm and crisp and I ordered a nice Caesar salad as the side. My friend's husband had the cioppino and he gave us a taste and it was really good as well. We shared a bottle of wine and her recommendation of cabernet was also good and the kids enjoyed their food. The only complaint I have is we had ordered the clams in wine sauce as an appetizer, I've ordered this many times at many different restaurants, the ones at this establishment were extremely boozy tasting. Almost as if they hadn't simmered the alcohol out, it tasted like a buttered version of the glass of wine I was enjoying and with the clams, it didn't taste very good. Kind of a bummer because my son likes clams and after trying one he asked what that taste was and didn't want anymore because of the alcohol content in the sauce. Idk if we got a bad batch of sauce or if that was intentional, but it didn't hit and I was a little disappointed.

Best clam chowder ever! Really good menu and not too big. They have local brews and an additional hourly pay for parking spot next to their lot. It's a little hard to get to, but worth it and great views. We've also had the fish and chips, Mac and cheese and cioppino in the past: all delicious!
