Our favorite spots to bring or pup while enjoying very good pub food and pour-your-own brews. There's a great selection of beer, wine and cider. The pizza is so good and there's a great selection of vegetarian foods. The staff are so sweet and the atmosphere is cozy and clean and fun! Lots of tvs to watch sports and board games.
Always super friendly, they love seeing our dog and there’s events like trivia and paint and sip every week
Great fir those who like to beer taste. U control your amounts and serve yourself.
Great food and great service from the manager James. Sounds like they have fun events coming up too! Will be back!
ALMOST LOCKED IN OVER NIGHT
EDIT: this was meant for the Puyallup location but I didn’t realize there were two.
It’s a cool spot. I did have some issues. First was when you get there someone tells you to order on your phone and they’ll bring the food to your table. Ok I don’t have a problem with this at all. However, when I tried to order on phone it adds an automatic service tip that I can’t adjust. So while I literally wanted to tip I couldn’t even adjust to pick my own amount and would’ve given more on there. Therefore I just ended up walking to the register and ordering there because then you’re not forced into a set amount. While walking back to the register isn’t a big deal in general, the staff were annoyed with me for ordering up there. My other issue was that we went for a fun trivia night. However, the trivia is done on phones and I saw people in front of us looking up answers for their team. This is a bit of a letdown as the trivia is supposed to be a fun, see what you know time. It also means people playing fair don’t really have a chance of winning. Winning isn’t a big deal but still and I love going to trivia night at other places that don’t do it on phone as nobody is looking up answer. But my biggest issue is that I was almost LOCKED IN for the night. I didn’t realize it closed as soon as trivia was over. I thought I’d seen it was open for another hour. So when trivia ended I went to the bathroom. There were a couple people in there waiting so I came out 15 minutes later. All the chairs were stacked and the staff was utterly shocked that someone was still there. One of them told me they’d been about to lock the door for the night without knowing someone was still there. You’d think they’d check the bathroom. That being said I don’t like giving local businesses a bad review especially after only one visit. I do think this could be a fun spot to hang out at and it’s cool you can bring dogs and get them food too! I had pizza and I enjoyed that so that was cool! I recommend you try it out but be careful if you are there at closing.
Great ability to test alchohol drinks and great food. Also, great friendly staff. Safe for kids as well. The only difficult thing can be parking. Make sure to get there at a decent time or don't mind paying for parking.
Great place to come and sit for lunch and a few drinks with your pup and other dog lovers.
Ordered the parmesan and plain chicken wings with a side of buffalo sauce, ranch and blue cheese dressing. The wings were both crispy and flavorful and some of the best I've had in Pierce County in a LONG TIME.
There is a huge selection of local beers here with a few ciders, wine and a margarita that's just as good as a free pour.
Do you like merch for your puppy with a good sense of humor? Well The Redd Dog has it with some cute bandannas and they also sell dog cookies and tennis balls for that good puppy.
The service and atmosphere is a laid back place with a serve yourself taps and you order at the cash register for food that comes at a fast pace.
New to The Redd Dog? I was today and Arturo my Cane Corso puppy just received a gift bag from the manager with some really cool items in it.
If you are ever on 6th Ave and want to quench your thirst and have your pup along stop into The Redd Dog and enjoy a meal and a frosty beverage. Don't forget the free popcorn!

This place is definitely one to check out! The owner is so nice and accommodating! Not to mention the pizza is SO yummy and the self-pour feature allows you to try lots of different flavors while not waiting! We also love that we can bring our fur baby inside with us!! Definitely recommend!!

We saw this place a few weeks ago and decided to try it out.
It's a bit of an odd concept, you get a card and pour your own beer and pay by the ounce. This is all good but if you do the math, a 16 oz pour is $8-10. They had plenty of beers on tap but they were all mediocre except the peach cider was good. This, of course, will change as they rotate kegs out. I think I just hit a bad week. I wish there was some value to pouring your own but The Red Hot is about the same price and they actually bring it to you. This feels similar to ringing out your own groceries.
The food is kind of the same, you have to order from an app, no table service.
My son got the fried chicken sandwich and it was pretty dry.
My wife got the burger, it would have been nice if you could order medium rare, it was done and wasn't bad but wasn't good. They did have gluten free buns and vegan cheese for my wife's dietary restrictions which was nice.
I got the pork tacos (1/2 off on Tuesday) and they were pretty awful. The pork has some flavor but the cheese and the greenery they put on the top overwhelmed any flavor. They were heavy, not light like a small taco should be.
The house made chips were good on the burger plate but on the fried chicken plate they were over done and tasted of old oil. I am not sure how they were different but they were.
The girl up front was very nice and accommodating.
All on all, odd concept and we won't be back. Food was expensive especially for the lack of quality and the beers are expensive and you have to self serve.
It seems this concept is to save money on employees but if there isn't a value or savings because of this, why go here?

Favorite pizza and pour your own spot in Tacoma. The big red is the best pizza! Only in Tacoma because the Puyallup location did not tastes the same and they use whole garlic cloves instead of minced.

Service was terrible, took the bartender 5 minutes to even acknowledge me and when he did it was rude. The food was alright though.

My family’s first time here and it did not disappoint. Annie greeted us and James in the kitchen came out for us to give him a kudos for his pizzas! We’re pretty critical of pizzas we consume and these were top notch! Even great the next day for leftovers. Cool atmosphere and kid-friendly (our 11 year old liked playing shuffleboard). Annie was wonderful showing us how to operate the you-pour-it stations. Wines were great too, and hubby liked the beer and cider. This is going to be a spot we’ll definitely be frequenting often. Next time we’ll bring our dog, too.
Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome! Free fresh popcorn, board games and shuffleboard!
