We live in the neighborhood and wanted to like this restaurant. However, we are disappointed in our experience. Food was cold, soggy bacon, small portions, taste and quality meh for the price of breakfast. Service was slow and disorganized for not being busy. We were not asked how our food was while we were eating, and also when we were finished. Service was not rude, but not very engaging either. We will be going back to JP Tavern.

Have not been in yet and wanted to, but the menu is not for me. Would be nice to have more salads or even just one chicken dish, I'm not a steak person.

Stopped in on the way back from a photo shoot. Bloody Mary is pretty good. It had a couple cute garnishes. The staff there I really liked. They were very friendly and had a ton of history info about the place as they’d been there for 30 plus yrs. They have karaoke and live bands. The bar top and tables are pretty awesome. I’d like to stop by and try the food and other drinks so I suppose I’ll be back again.

We went last night for a birthday dinner because my family loves the food there. The place was really empty so I expected the food and service to be great. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and pleasant, but service seemed kinda slow for an empty restaurant. The food was hit and miss, and the prices are high for what you get. Pretzel with cheese sauce was good but they heated it in the microwave so the texture was a bit off. The Dirty Fries were good except that the fries were under cooked. The Short Rib burger and happy hour burger were very good. The French Dip was very good except that the meat tasted kinda old. The $9 house special salad was terrible. I don't know how you can make a cranberry, walnut and blue cheese salad flavorless, but it was. The only flavor was the bottled dressing and that wasn't good. And finally the pizza. Keep in mind that this place was nearly empty. We waited and waited for the pizza. All our other food was on the table and nearly eaten by the time the server realized the pizza was never fired. She apologized and brought us a complimentary basket of pale, limp undercooked fries to make up for it. When the pizza finally arrived it was just okay; a few slices of pepperoni, too much cheese and bland sauce. I will not order it again. Drinks were fine. Dessert is limited and good enough but not great. All the problems point to poor management and lack of communication between the staff. I'm sorry to give this low review but hopefully it will prompt the establishment to do better in the future.

Food is good. The service was great. The space is low key but fine. Beer could be colder.

It's been about 30 years since I've been in this building ("The Shipwreck" back then). The Sandbar was wonderful, totally inviting, with great service. And the food was awesome too.

So I went here for the first time on a band night. And I will say that the atmosphere is stellar. The bar was full and we had a large group. They were happy to set us in the dining room side. No loss there. First and foremost. Parking that night was nonexistent. I hat to double parked behind the coffee stand because the other car was facing the other way. The food was tasty. Drinks were quick and cocktails were good. It was hot it was timely and the portions were very satisfying. I don't think anyone left hungry or disappointed with the quality of our meal. The service was good but because the bar was popping I feel we were forgotten. The guy who brought out the food in the first round was gruff like "this isn't my table or my job but I'm here." Grace on the other hand was an absolute gem. Our only real complaint of the night was sauce. After the grumpy guy left we were all half done with our meal before anyone came to check on us. There was no sauce. No catchup or ranch was brought with any of the meals. And they all had fries. I was done with my sandwich before anything ever arrived. I get that it was a busy night but why wasn't any of this on the table? Will I return. Probably. My Rubin sandwich was fantastic. And my wife said the BLT was one of the best she's ever had. But everyone at my table made comments about the lack of condiments.

Limited breakfast menu but fast, friendly service who tolerated our energetic toddler well!

Stopped by the new location during the holidays and had a great time. Sat with people we didn't know at a large table during the karaoke night. By the end of the evening we were all laughing and having a great time. Food tastes great. Looking forward to another night out there to see if we have the same positive experience.

Went there when it was 24 degrees outside. The ceiling fans were all on..none of the employees could turn them off. It made for a chilly experience. Probably will go back sometime. Food was comfort food. Pretty good.
