This place could really be a success with a few tweaks. The wings are great! The salads are awesome, but I'd rather get a smaller portion for less $$, it's like a trough of salad that could feed a family of 5! I'd love to see a soup on the menu or a real chili. A special everyday would be great! Atmosphere is cool and relaxed, service is spotty at best. Most of the time we have to go up to bar for service even though there's only 5 people in there. There's one waitress that's really good though. I think they're a little overpriced, but I think if they got more volume , everyone would win!

Wonderful to find a restaurant with great home made food. I had the poblano soup and a Monte Cristo sandwich - both just as good as I could have made at home. My husband had a salad and French dip. Everything very fresh and generous. Cheerful and quick service as well. We leave satisfied and happy we came.

The staff here at Thunderbird are absolutely amazing very friendly, very nice and very helpful but not only the staff. The atmosphere is great. I like how you can seat yourself comfortably I also didn’t have to ask once for a refill on water or coffee. The staff are very attentive to your needs without having you to ask my food was amazing. Came out hot and fresh and quick will definitely be coming back. Thanks again to the staff. I hope you guys have a great week ahead of you.

Build your own pizza on fry bread was great. I had a bad experience while dining. I usually prefer a quite drama free meal. How did we get here ?The waitress was having an argument with a customer about whether a meal he ordered came with a piece of bread. Soon the patron asked for the manager. When the manager arrived she also started arguing her point that meal does not come with bread! The patron had mentioned he WAS .... a long time customer. Still no bread.

I go there to drink margaritas and throw darts. Poor management has led to a revolving door of bartenders who couldn't put a good margarita to save their life. Service takes toooooo long. Save yourself a headache and go somewhere else.

I can't say anything bad about the Thunderbird. The food is grandma's home cooking type that everyone loves, the service is on another level of good. The cinnamon rolls holy cow they are the size of my head and so soft and fluffy with no skimpy serving of cream cheese frosting.
For a place that is a little out of the way..the food was fantastic and the service was impeccable...everyone should experience the place at least 2 or 3 times

The food prices are reasonable, most of it taste good but I recommend not getting a Steak. Thin cut steak, and over cooked with hardly any meat. My wife didn't even eat but a bite or two. My wife raved about the side salad & dressing. My food was good, but it could have been a bit bigger portion size. I'm sure it's tuff to follow the rules of City of Tacoma and make a profit, so I'd go back again and try a different dish and see how a different server did their job as well. I'd given four stars for food if not for the crappy Steak that wasn't cheap. We expected far better for a steak than what my wife got.
