Good beer and I'm a fan of the Rheinhaus but the food at Wally's was fairly mediocre. The Sconie Burger in particular was the equivalent of a gas station burger. The beer cheese was good though.
Cheese curds brought me back to the Midwest! I know Wisconsin breweries are extremely weird about where they can be distributed but I appreciate the nostalgia. This is a fun bar and a great mix from the usual NW bars.
Have returned multiple times now. Great staff. They dropped the poutine!! Very sad. But over all a great vibe
I hadn't been there in several years. It was the Rhine house when I was there. Was not impressed with the food or drinks.
Great restaurant/bar! We joined the NWPB group this past weekend & had a blast! Great selection of food, especially since they have some gluten friendly options! Plan on returning in two weeks! Can't wait!
Great place, Packer/Wisconsin fans, huge beer selection and good food.I'll be back ?
Get the old fashioned!
Food is normally good.. this visit it was very understaffed and food was not on point like it should have been. Shouldn't have brought out to tables.
I like Wally's more than I like Rhein Haus. I love the chili mac, cheese curds, and puppy chow. Good food and good vibes.
Slightly disappointing! We expected more authenticity. Really......a "Wisconsin Tavern" without Leinenkugel's BEER? Are you kidding me?They have the shandy, but that's NOT beer, that's sour lemonade! The "Pride of Wisconsin" & nations 7th oldest brewery from Chippewa Falls, & NONE of their dozen beers are available? How about Stevens Point? Old Style? Schlitz? New Glarus? If they have them, they're "hidden". Family lives in Wisconsin & we visit frequently....those beers are everywhere in Wisconsin. The chili cheese brat was very good however, & the ambiance setting is VERY nice. Cheese curds? Nothing special. Not nearly as good back in the Midwest. It would have to be a "special occasion" to return unfortunately. The Rhine Haus is very nice, actually feels German, same kitchen, similar menu.
Restaurantji Recommends
The cheese curds are so good! Eat them while they are hot! You can get them with ranch or pickle dip and I got both, haha. I need to come back to try the burger and wedge salad, which also looked really good.
Great fish & chips great beer selection...
Cheese curds!!!!! Everything was so good and brought me back to Wisconsin. Cool pinball games, darts and golden tee in the back too. What a great space! The Sconnie Burger and Fishwich are amazing too. 5 Stars!
Weird change from before, both bartenders were really rude and we were told to order at the bar first but the bartenders told us to come back with a table number to order. Prices are also very HIGH!! I would not recommend to anyone. The only reason for the second star was the cheese curds were pretty good…
Great food, nice people, and the shuffleboard was fun!
