Swung by Spice Bridge on my way back home from the airport and decided to try the qabili pilau from Jazze's. We had originally wanted the lamb but they only had the chicken available. So we went with that, waited about 20 minutes for our order and then took it home and ate.The qabili pilau was exquisite. Beautifully fragrant and spiced - a feast for the eyes and senses. Damn, this was good. Honestly, I've never been disappointed by Afghan food but this still exceeded expectations. My husband and I split the Ashak and Mantu; we loved both. I was honestly a little hesitant when I first saw the prices, but felt fine about it once I tasted the food.I hope Afghan food becomes more widely available in the US; it's really a great cuisine.
