Damn, this was good. Honestly, I've never been disappointed by Afghan food but this still exceeded expectations. My husband and I split the Ashak and Mantu; we loved both. I was honestly a little hesitant when I first saw the prices, but felt fine about it once I tasted the food.I hope Afghan food becomes more widely available in the US; it's really a great cuisine.

I heard a new "food court" opened up through IG foodie videos and was very eager to check it out. Since it was located near SeaTac airport, it was kind of difficult to make a trip down on a random day because of traffic. And finally, there was an event down in Tacoma! A chance to check the little food court out! It's located inside the Spice Bridge on Tukwila International Blvd in Tukwila. What a fitting road for the little food court LOL. There's a parking lot with ample parking. Because the location was small, I believe different shops alternate operation times. This particular shop was opened only Thursday-Saturday from 11am-8pm.I actually ordered from another shop, but my boyfriend ordered the Mantu for the two of us to share. And omg. What a great choice! There was soooo much flavor in the dumpling! A combination of spices with the yogurt sauce balancing them out. YUM! The dumplings were plump and filled generously with meat and possibly another filling that I can't seem to pinpoint. There was a spice on top to make it a bit spicier which caught us both off guard but in a good way. I loved it so much that when I was telling a friend who I was meeting up with that same day, she was convinced to also get one before we left LOL. She also thoroughly enjoyed it! The only downside was that it was on the pricier side, but I personally think it was worth it as the flavor profile is crazy. With such huge flavor profile from just the mantu, I would love to try their other dishes in the future!

Mantu:Meat dumplings with 2 types of sauce on top; garlic yogurt sauce and a tomato based sauce. These dumplings were delicious and so easy to eat. I can see why they are a crowd favorite and a good option to share or bring to a party. The dumplings have a generous amount of filling and the flavor of the filling is strong. Many dumplings with sauce on top, I've found to be a bit more bland where the flavor comes mainly from the sauce - this is not the case here! Would definitely order again. The dumpling wrapper is cooked to perfection, not too soft but not too chewy. They are also thin. Qabili Pilau:We ordered this with the chicken option so the portion is a little smaller than if you were to order it with lamb. The chicken was hidden in a bed of flavored basmati rice. This dish was even better than expected. The chicken was juicy and the rice was a perfect match, flavorful but not overpowering. This is my first time having Afghan food so bare with me in saying this - if I had to compare, it reminds me of an Indian tandoori chicken but with more seasoning/marination. The owner did explain that this dish is flavor and time intensive, which explains the high price point of $40 per order. It's enough to share though, so bring some friends! Service:Service was as great as any food stall restaurant can be - there's no table service, you order and pay at the stall and you find a seat. They bring the dishes out when ready and let you be. While ordering, the owner was so patient with all of our questions and was willing to explain anything we wanted them to. While we were eating, he even came by and asked how everything was, which we weren't expecting.

This place is AMAZING and the service is even better. It is so delicious and made with love. It is truly a SMALL business made by a mama so please give grace! Her food and portions are outstanding!

Overpriced small portions. Didn't even get bread or sauce with the 20 dollar meal which is supposed to be a meal in itself. Do not recommend

Great food without processed ingredients. The chef is kind & welcoming. Can't wait to have a reason to be in the area again to stop in. Take out or eat in.

Swung by Spice Bridge on my way back home from the airport and decided to try the qabili pilau from Jazze's. We had originally wanted the lamb but they only had the chicken available. So we went with that, waited about 20 minutes for our order and then took it home and ate.The qabili pilau was exquisite. Beautifully fragrant and spiced - a feast for the eyes and senses. Gorgeous presentation with caramelized carrots, raisins, cranberries, almonds. Abundant and well distributed within the rice. The chicken, which I believe was marinated in yogurt, was under the rice and there was enough for each mouthful.I had asked about the price ($35) because it appeared to be different in different places, and was informed that prices were adjusted for rising food costs, which is super valid. After trying the pilau, my husband and I agreed that Jazze's could even charge more - the value is there, it fed both of us - two very good eaters - well, and the food was absolutely stunning. We'll be back to try the lamb version and the mantu... honestly, we'll be back to try everything.Spice Bridge is a wonderful place, very near the airport, and I'll find a way to stop there as often as I can.

Lovely takeout tonight from Jazze's, a nice combo of SRW dinners plus boulanee, chicken kabob, and plenty of salads. We really loved the lamb shank Seattle Restaurant Week special, the Qabili Pilau, a meltingly soft lamb chunk on the bone with delicious seasoned basmati rice - it was an enchanting dinner (oh! those cardamom-scented julienned carrots!). The chewy gluten and dairy free boulanee were filled with a spiced potato mixture and came with a green herbal chutney - so nice to have a gluten free version of boulanee. The other standout dish was the mantu - a simmered beef dumpling in a thin wrapper with a red sauce, a yogurt sauce, and mint - absolutely delicious. Chicken kabob was tasty, salad was nicely minty, and the eggplant was yummy. It sounds like they do seasonal foods and I can't wait to try their kadoo (pumpkin) in the fall! They are one of the mini-restaurants in the Spice Bridge, which is a food incubator designed to help immigrants and women of color start and grow food businesses. It's a place well worth supporting!

delicious food, wonderful service. Wife & husband team are very sweet, accommodating, and understanding after a grubhub snafu - I will definitely be getting food from them directly rather than grubhub next time.

Jazze's located inside the Spice Bridge - Food Innovation Network food court, and offers Afghan-American food. I have never had Afghan food before and am not sure what to get. I asked the Chef and she recommended the Mantu. It was an excellent choice. I love the flavor and the texter. When you hear dumplings, you probably think of Chinese food. But, the Afghan dumpling is actually pretty good. It has enough flavor but is not overpowering. It leaves you with the taste of wanting more. This is a place to revisit definitely.

Jazze's is great! I brought my wife here because we wanted to try something we've never had before. I ordered the Mantu. It is beef dumplings served with a red lentil sauce and yogurt mixed with mint leaves. It took about 15 minutes for them to make it, but it was so worth it! It was incredibly fresh and the flavors were new. Frankly I've found a new favorite dish and I'll definitely be back soon!
