Moctezuma's Mexican Restaurant

I think the food at this restaurant tastes good and the portions are decent.

But the service 👎. I don't know what was going on—maybe a lack of servers or something, but the tables were dirty, and there weren't even that many people there. My server barely paid attention to my table; she didn't refill my soda or ask if I needed anything. I had to get her attention to ask for it.

Went for Taco Tuesday... on Tuesday 7 July 2026...no specials on Tacos at 7pm. They did have advertisement for $5 Margaritas ...on Mondays (advertised on a portable sign by the front door). The menus was expensive...$18.99 for a margarita. It took 20 minutes from the time my wife and I were seated to get a beer. Offered to take order 20 minutes later. The mens bathroom was filthy. Bad service, not clean and overpriced.

Food decent, server didnt bring plates for 10min after food had already arrived & only checked in on us at the end to collect the bill. Other staff were helpful.

Food wasn't that great. Steak was very tuff not good quality. Rice wasnt very good. Chips, salsa and beans were amazing.

It was our forst time here. Restaurant was beautiful, but was rather dirty.

The restaurant was mostly empty when we arrived but the host/hostess was nowhere to be found. No biggie - we decided to sit at the bar. There was just one other couple sitting there, so we had plenty of places to choose from. When we sat, we noticed the bar was covered in crumbs and was pretty sticky. The menus handed to us were also very dirty and uncomfortable to hold. It seemed that everything in the bar just had a layer of filth to it.

We ordered a round of margaritas, which were just okay but the bartender seemed like us sitting at the bar was an annoyance. The atmosphere was very unwelcoming. We decided to close out our tab and have dinner at Joey's next door. We won't be trying this place again.

The food was amazing! Better than my past experiences at their Tacoma location. It was a little loud so hard to hear conversation at your table.

The best Mexican restraunt. The meat is cooked perfect juicy and not chewy or dry like other restraunts.

after saying that my wife was allergic to dairy multiple times they still brought out the meal with cheese

Amazing experience! The food was delicious and full of flavor. We ordered the nachos, burritos, enchiladas, and fajitas, and everything was great. They were also very accommodating with our dietary restrictions, which we really appreciated. A special shoutout to Shelby for her exceptional service—she was friendly, attentive, and made our visit even better. Highly recommend!

A great place to go for some Tex-Mex! I went with a group for a late lunch and we had a good time. Staff and service were good, and the restaurant was very clean. The salsa and chips were fresh and I was pleasantly surprised to find their salsa spicy! If I ever get the chance to come back for dinner they have a HUGE drink selection I want to try out. We got tacos, a taco salad and a burrito. We were happy with the quality of the food and the portion sizes. I adored my salad! Only issue we had was our table and chairs were off balance and need to be repaired-super annoying.

I took my family who came from Germany, and I was embarrassed by how poor the service was. We were a group of nine people. Server Erica never tried to make us happy not even trying to connect and even dismissed my question about why we couldn't have the same table. She put us to sit with two square tables and one round table that were not even the same height. Without explanation, she just said no. Later, when she arranged tables for another group, I asked how they got the same table. She said they had a reservation. Okay, that kind of made sense, but she never apologized or explained why she couldn’t do the same for us. Instead, she got mad at me and didn't even ask if I needed anything. Forget about my dressing and the napkins—I had to get them myself. She checked on us maybe once. She honestly ruined the whole experience. We didn't feel welcome.

Great food and great service. We were celebrating graduation and this place was perfect. Made reservations and we almost had the back room to ourselves. Our server Sylvia was amazing. She was kind and attentive, while still giving us room to enjoy our time. The food never disappoints.

Great food,fantastic service also the ambience was good. The only issue I had was that they put the ribeye in a sizzling hot plate my medium rare steak ended up being well done half way through my meal.the queso fundido app had the same issue they put it in a hot skillet it tasted burned at the end.
Being that said it’s great place to dine in
