visited during open hours at 11:22 AM, but no staff were present.

I placed an order for a cup of ice cream using the self-service kiosk. No employee appeared until I had to say “excuse me” loudly. When someone finally came out, there was no apology—just a question asking whether I had placed a self-service order.

If it were possible, I would give zero stars for this experience.

Very disappointed. We came here today around 6pm and the guy said that the taiyaki was sold out. He was already cleaning the machine, and telling people he had no more food. Seemed to me the worker was just lazy in making the taiyaki and having to clean the machine again. They close at 9pm....

Stopped by Somi Somi at Southcenter Mall and tried the ube soft serve with custard-filled taiyaki - the icecream itself was delicious but service and pricing not much on positive end! The ube flavor was rich and creamy without being overly sweet, and the taiyaki with custard was a good match. Taste easily gets a 4 out of 5.

Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. The staff seemed disinterested and unhappy, and it took longer than expected to get my order, even though it wasn’t that busy.

As for the price, it felt a bit steep for what you get $9 + tip for a cone. If you're craving a unique dessert and don’t mind the service, the ube with custard filling is worth a try.

Amazing desert Taiyaki and ice cream with Taiyaki shell. It's located in a corner with long countertop right across bath and body works. Taiyaki takes about 8 min to make so be prepared to wait, warm bites are the best. Free ice cream toppings upon serving located at the end of the countertop.

Had a terrible experience at this store. Ordered a bottle of strawberry milk, when the server handed it to me it was dirty and there was strawberry jam all over the cap and glass bottle. The server ignored me and pretended that she couldn’t understand me when I asked her politely to wipe the bottle down for me; I had to ask four times. Instead of handing it back to me after wiping it down, she slammed it really hard on the glass countertop very far away from me. The bottle was still dirty… Very rude and poorly trained staff. The server’s name was Faith. Please do better on hygiene management and customer service training.

Our previous visits were great but last Saturday was awful. I ordered the black sesame filling with the extra half filling option for red bean through the kiosk. The section was labeled extra/half filling with a 50 cent upcharge. Based on the labeling I assumed when you selected a different flavor than the main filling it would be half and half. When they called us to get our order they gave my husband his order first before starting on mine so I didn’t think anything of it until they handed me my order and I noticed that I didn’t see any red bean being placed inside while she was finishing it. I asked her about it and was told they can’t mix fillings. I was like oh okay but since I was charged can I either just get extra black sesame or a refund. She wouldn’t do either. I’m not sure if it’s because she didn’t understand me or didn’t want to deal with it but I asked maybe three or four times in different ways to try to get it resolved and all she kept doing was stating they aren’t able to mix flavors. I ended up just leaving it alone as she clearly wasn’t willing/able to fix the issue. I tried using the contact button on the digital receipt but haven’t heard anything back so I decided to post this as a review to warn future customers. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but it’s not okay to charge for an item then not give that item or some equivalent if there is an issue. I was charged for an item I didn’t receive and am quite upset. It may only be 50 cents but you can’t go somewhere and be 50 cents short and think you will be able to purchase your stuff. They will tell you no sorry you have to come back when you have more money. I was also irritated that she didn’t even bother to tell me about the order issue until I asked where the red bean was even though I was standing right in front of her. I think the staff need better training and perhaps they could rename the category or at least put a small disclaimer next to it in the future to avoid this kind of issue.
