A Hill of Beans Expresso Inc (HOB)

Rudest workers in Tumwater. This stand often has great coffee, sometimes they even give you a chocolate covered espresso bean. But I've had really poor experiences with some of their workers. Most of the barista here are kind, but the ones who aren't are extremely rude. They make you feel like a total burden to exist. I won't be coming back. I had a horrible experience this morning pulling up at 6:58 and was ignored by the barista. Even after 7am (when the schedule says you open!) she never opened the window or acknowledged me beyond an angry glare through the window.

Customer service was good but tasted like water

Been going to this stand for the last year since moving to the area and the baristas usually are so nice and make really good drinks but the other day that was not it. The barista didn’t greet or engage in any conversation besides “what are you getting” and “here you go” in a rude tone. She didn’t seem like she wanted to be there at all and when handed my drink not only was it dripping wet but the top of the lid was overflowing I couldn’t move it even just a little bit without it spilling everywhere. The lotus exploded all over my car and had no flavor as well. Went back a few days later and got a coffee this time which tasted like straight cream no coffee or flavor. The two girls both monotone no regards for customers only in engaging in conversation with each other. You work in customer service how about let’s act like it because this isn’t right at all. *The photos don’t even do it justice of how much of a mess this was. I took this after I was able to get majority of liquid off the top*

And she did just that!! Absolutely delicious!
She was super friendly and gave my pups puppachinos

My $10 coffee was supposed to be hot. It was lukewarm at best. Service was also subpar. I will not be going back.
They’re also supposed to offer a coffee bean with each drink, which was not offered.

From what I have experienced 0/10. Not recommended.

Cute little stand, but my decaf almond milk latte tasted like dirty water. Barista was fast. I asked how many shots she put in and she said 4. I said it tasted watery. She shrugged and said, “Maybe it’s our decaf?” She wasn’t rude, just dismissive. I should’ve asked for a refund. I go to the gas station next door weekly and I’m bummed my treat latte was gross. I won’t be back.

I used to visit this location frequently as my
Son went to school nearby. After a move I haven’t been there in a while, I stop by in the area to use my full punch card I mention that I have this at the same time that I order. Instead she says to me “I didn’t see you had this so I’ll just start you a new card” and I pay full price. I just don’t go to this area enough so I just will keep both of these punch cards and hope the next barista is able to remember between me and the person in the other window next time.
