Bonsai Wok Teriyaki

Used to love it but.. $27 for one order of take out is absurd. Not sure when their prices jumped out of control. Teriyaki food is becoming so over priced.

Vegetarian/vegan friendly. Large portions, good amount of veg and tofu provided (not too much rice or noodle). Friendly, communicative staff. If you ask for vegan style and say no oyster or fish sauce there are several options.

My family and I visited Bonsai Wok Teriyaki today for the first time, and honestly, I can’t believe we didn’t discover this place sooner!

We ordered the yakisoba, teriyaki chicken, chicken cashew, and shrimp tempura, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. Each dish tasted like it was made with care, not rushed, and the quality really stood out.

The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. It felt like one of those neighborhood restaurants everyone already loves—and somehow we were the last ones to find out!

This place is definitely going to become one of our family favorites. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out. Highly recommended! 😊🍜🍤

This is the second time I have ordered from Bonsai. I ordered the Tofu Yakisoba. The food is almost flavorless, and devoid of any teriyaki sauce. The noodles taste old and have a moldy smell. The tofu had little flavor, but what little it had tastes like meat!? Obviously cooked in the same pan used for meat. True vegetarians beware. Service was passable, but far from cordial.

i love this place and come here all the time. i’ve been eating here since i was a teenager. this place is owned by the loviest couple who are there day in and day out. they dish out consistent and delicious food prepared with care and attention to detail. this is my fav takeout place in olympia. such a treasure. thank you for your dedication to feeding the people of this town delicious food!!! 🤍 🍱🤍

I must have accidentally picked this restaurant over the one with 700+ reviews. I ordered via pickup through door dash. Food was ready quickly.

I bought the teriyaki chicken and general tsos combo.

The teriyaki sauce is BOMB. The teriyaki Chicken is dry.

the General tsos chicken was all around good flavor and moist chicken.

Not very welcoming atmosphere, not much on service ( kinda a get up from your seat to order kinda thing), food was good and fast, atmosphere was nice and quite, and portions were good except an egg roll should have been included with the special. It would be excellent for take out but not a complete restaurant experience.

Their almond chicken isn't almond chicken. It's some kind of chicken and onion chop suey with almond slices sprinkled on top. Not the breaded chicken with gravy I was disappointed not to have opened when I brought my to-go order home.

I visited several times after lunch hour and I can honestly say that this resturant has the best well done chicken teriyaki and not so sweet but perfect sauce. Most teriyaki place I've been has either too sweet sauce or barely cooked chicken (not under cook) and this place is what I've been looking for.
