We walked in after the kitchen had closed but the owner was so incredibly kind and let us order food. The bread was amazing and the polenta and pasta was great too. Would definitely come back.

Call before you go here. We just drove 30 minutes to walk in the door on Saturday evening to a sign that says reservations only. Yet the place was empty.
No where online does it say reservations only.... nor is there a reservation link on google. How is anyone supposed to know this?
We came 30 minutes after kitchen was closed but the owner was very accommodating after we told them we were vegetarian and made special meals per our preferences. Food was amazing and deserves five stars

I came in as a single diner without a reservation. The hostess originally told me they we're full, but she said she would ask the owner John if they could squeeze me in. They were able to serve me and I am so glad they did. The atmosphere in this place is so welcoming. The service was outstanding from start to finish, and the food was incredible. I had a house salad and the Italian sausage cuscino. The cuscino was outstanding with a rich homemade sauce that you would have to taste to understand. In addition to a wonderful dining experience, John offered me some local fly fishing tips. If you have a chance to check this place out, you definitely should. I'm sorry I can only give them 5 stars. This place is a gem.

True Italian flavor and texture which is hard to find in Seattle, and this beats any place we’ve found there. My partner is from NY and is impossible to impress with Italian food commented how our meal tasted like home.
Will go out of our way to come back!

I'm sure the food and service are excellent. I never got to try because this restaurant is now RESERVATION ONLY despite no mention of this anywhere I searched on the internet.
We are staying in Winthrop Mon-Thurs and drove over Thursday night during down season. Didn't think I needed to call ahead to reserve a table because everything has been so dead. The restaurant was closed the three days leading up, and there is no way to make online reservations. All around very disappointing.
Absolutely fabulous everything. A must if you are in Twisp.

This is the best food I’ve ever eaten in my life. Anyone giving this anything less than 5 stars is delusional. On top of the food being out of this world, the service was fantastic and felt quite intimate.
Highly recommend making a reservation first!

Amazing! Such a lovely, cozy, inviting atmosphere with the owner/ chef greeting us from behind the bar when we came in on a Thursday night and the 1 server working that night seating us immediately. Great wine for only $30 something per bottle and incredible food similarly well priced, authentic, and unpretentious. All around great! And the chocolate Pana Cotta was the perfect end to the meal, an ideal portion size of extra rich creaminess to go with the last of our pino noir! 😊

Chef John is the brilliance behind his menu. From the polenta and roasted vegetables.. to the pizza named after his uncle Felix, to the off menu pasta dish topped with 8 hour slow roasted beef shoulder he special prepared for my father on his 66th birthday…
And how could I forget the pinocino bread served with roasted tomatoes, cerve cheese, over a bed of olive oil… OMG incredible almost candy like appetizer. We live three hours away and would drive back here just for this experience again and again!
Special thanks to the chef, our server. And the whole staff at Tappi, for making the last night of our vacation such an incredible experience. Till we meet again! Chow!

Best Italian food we’ve ever had, and that includes having dined in Italy. Three words: The. Pillow. Bread. It would be my last meal of death row, that’s how good it is.
