I've been wanting to visit Alderbrook for some time now. I picked this place first my birthday. $150 for 1 appetizer, 2 dinners (one was a salad) and 2 waters. Quality of the food was not worth it...go somewhere else like the Lobster Shop or 1889. Don't waste your money or tune driving just because they have a nice view.

Beautiful location - right on the canal with spectacular views of the mountains and water. Food was excellent. One person had the salmon pasta; a couple people had fish & chips; one person had the hamburger and all were very satisfied with the portions and the flavors.

It was busy, so the service was a bit slow, but the server was fantastic. The food was very good.

I organized a birthday brunch for four people—the menu offers varied, well-prepared choices, so everyone could order what they wanted. The resort prices are a bit high, but considering the water view, excellent service and ambiance? Well worth the splurge.

Price point is high. Food was of obvious good quality. I'm not sure if it's worth the price point for everything on the menu, but maintaining the site, and getting food to that location is probably costly, so that's probably why it's a little higher in price. You can definitely taste the food quality though, which I appreciate. The presentation and freshness is there, it shows that the kitchen really cares about the food. The service was stellar, also always appreciated. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

Food was very strange! The salmon Benedict was extremely salty and the avocado had a musky taste to it. The poached egg was perfect as I requested a medium poach. The potatoes looked very unappealing. They looked like yesterdays leftover baked potato, hit several times with a hammer and stuck in the oven for 45 minutes at high heat. The taste was inconsistent some had salt, some was very crunchy (especially the skin) some had no flavor. What a shame, this use to be up sale place to eat, not anymore!

The restaurant is beautiful and cozy and the espresso martini from the bar was delicious. I ordered fish and. Hop and my husband got the clam pasta with a crab cake on the side. The pasta was cold, the crab cake was small and tasteless and also $24 just for the crab cake. The cod was good but the panko breading was heavy and greasy I ate just the fish inside.

Fish and chips were mediocre at best. Chips were fine, beer was cold, but the fish wasn't any better than you'd get out of the frozen food isle at the grocery store. Waitress was excellent, but over all not up to their usual standards.

We had the pleasure of talking with a gardner at the Chefs garden where they grow a lot of veggies for their meals. The food is always outstanding! You can eat here even if you are not staying overnight. They have a big dock where people can tie up their boats while they spend the day. They also are very dog friendly! (they also have a resident cat)

Wonderful views of the Hood Canal. Fantastic food. I especially love the sturgeon. Tables nicely separated from each other and outstanding waiter! Oh yes, nice, focused wine list. Definitely worth the visit.

Such a beautiful location with awesome views. Our server, Amanda, was very attentive and took very good care of us. Fish & Chips was substituted with chowder. Chowder was excellent. Fish was somewhat overcooked, but still tasty. Coleslaw had no flavor—I prefer a creamy, zesty dressing. The Burger and Crab Melt, that my girlfriends each had, were yummy.

We had dinner after a great day at the Alderbrook Resort. Off season evening so it was quiet and perfect atmosphere . Our waitress Cynthia was so knowledgeable and described our entrees accurately . The salmon was fresh deliciously prepared and flavorful. Duck gnocchi was ok but thought maybe gnocchi could be fresher . The kids portions were generous and nicer than usual mac and cheese etc. Dessert was incredible raspberry rhubarb crisp so worth it!

Our server and food were great. There was a parent chasing his toddler around the dining area, including the stairs. It was annoying and I felt for the servers and bussers, it was not considerate of the parent and they were clearly in the way. If the kid doesn't want to sit down for a fancy dinner, take them out of the restaurant.

This was such a great experience. The staff was wonderful, our waitress Michelle was so sweet and warm and made our dinner so enjoyable. A thousand stars

This restaurant is in a resort. It's the only really nice place to eat in the area. We live in Belfair and come here for birthdays and anniversaries. It wasn't busy this time, only a few tables were occupied. The menu is a combination of breakfast and lunch items. The view is beautiful. Online, there is no lunch menu, only dinner. I like to see the menu before I go. I had the salad with ahi, my husband had prawns. My salad was as expected, nothing remarkable. The prawns should have been described as a starter, there were 6 prawns on the plate, nothing else. He ordered clam chowder to fill in. We were using some reward points and when I told our server I was told they'd never heard of this, even after I showed her my printed card. She got the manager and she also said she knew nothing about open table rewards. I told her what to do (it's written what to do) she did it and it worked.
