Been getting takeout from here for years. Amazing food the owner always has something positive to say in the short transaction while paying. Rice comes with the meal unlike other Indian restaurants in Tacoma. Food is always still piping hot by the time I get home.

"Beware: Dangerous Dining and Horrible Service at This Restaurant"

We went to dine-in as a group of 7. The owner who was serving us the food was very rude and unapologetic when we confessed that there was a glass piece in the chicken curry. We were thrown out of the restaurant when we started asking about it. We kindly advise against this restaurant. We have reported this food safety issue to the University Place, Tacoma as well.

Health Hazard Alert: Glass in Food and Disrespectful Management

The restaurant served gravy that contained a large piece of glass, and the manager was extremely rude and became highly defensive. I took a few videos, but I am not sharing them due to privacy concerns.

I ended up placing an order at Domino's because this experience was very disappointing. I have also filed a complaint with the Tacoma food safety department.

Please don’t risk your life at this terrible restaurant.

One of the worst restaurants I have ever been to anywhere in the world. There was a glass piece in the chicken curry and the manager working here was not even apologetic and became defensive. He started fighting with us and he was treating us as beggars. We have taken multiple videos but not posting here because of privacy issue. We have reported this issue to 911 and to food safety inspection to the city. Please consider before coming to this restaurant.

We were waiting for take out and the owner was so kind. He offered us to try a vegetable dish and told us his backstory. So nice to hear and great food!

I recently visited India Mahal, and I must say it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve ever had. The behavior of the owner was absolutely unacceptable.

From the moment we walked in, the owner was rude and dismissive. We were greeted with a cold, uninterested attitude, and it only got worse from there. When we asked for recommendations, the owner seemed annoyed and rushed us to make a decision. It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than valued customers.

To make matters worse, three of us ordered a veg combo. The owner mentioned that this is only for two people and wanted us to order more so that he can cover his expenses. He was rude enough to even ask us to eat a hot dog or watermelon outside if we cannot afford it.

The owner’s unprofessional and hostile attitude completely ruined the experience for us. I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

I ordered the lamb curry. The lamb was tender but no taste. The rice was watery and the garlic Nan bread had no taste. The whole meal was a waste of money. Usually go to Gateway to India but was looking for some place new.
