Awesome revamp of the menu, and great crafted cocktails! Highly recommend!
I hadn't set foot in this building since it was a Mexican restaurant well over a decade ago. Friends suggested it as a place to grab a drink and dinner. I walked in alone, and the cheerful bartender told me to grab a menu and sit where I liked. Went upstairs to join my group, and loved the vibe of the place. Low key, dark decor, but still open and inviting.
The server was personable and attentive to allergy requests, and even went to check the name of her lipstick when...read full review
Well, being told to seat yourself and never being served makes for a negative experience. Then going up to the bar to ask for service and the bartender avoiding eye contact, followed by going upstairs and also not being acknowledged by the server there… yikes. Menu
3HowlsRemedyHouse is a spacious spot with a dark gothic vibe, offering plenty of seating inside and out. The friendly staff serves great food from a decent sized menu, including many vegan, gluten-free, and pescatarian options. The building, a beautiful Victorian house, features cozy, low-key dark decor that creates an inviting atmosphere. However, Friday nights can get crowded, which may lead to longer wait times for service. The accommodating staff works hard to keep guests fed, even during busy hours. The menu features popular items like fried tofu and a spicy udon noodles dish, which, despite not being very spicy, are delicious. The Nashville Mushroom sandwich and chickpea patty sandwich are well-liked, while the Smoked Steelhead BLT offers a burst of summer tomato goodness. Drinks are a highlight, with tasty mocktails and gorgeous cocktails available, including the recommended Persephone and the house Remedy / Bourbon. The howl fries are some of the best around and are plentiful. Although the fully vegan menu is no longer offered, the updated menu is roughly 30% vegan with many substitutes, making it a cool local spot worth visiting in Vancouver. Guests often appreciate the creative cocktails and consider visiting during happy hour for a great experience.
