This is the usual Dutch Bros. I visit. The service is generally really good and the people are extra friendly. Everyone is really courteous and respectful usually. However, every time I run into a particular short, blonde barista with what appears to be an Ugg boot type shoe, she tips herself the highest amount on the iPad and doesn't give the customer the choice, option, or even lets them know. She has done this to me twice, and I usually tip anyways but I noticed she has done it to the vehicles in front of me too. I don't mind tipping, and I usually always do, but I am sure some people wouldn't want to tip the amount she takes. All the other baristas always turn the iPad and remind you it is option. She gives you no option.

My daughter was disappointed they didn't carry guava for what she originally wanted. So she ordered a Kiwi and peach redbull with pomegranate float, blended and loved it! Also, they have muffin tops that I love, orange cranberry. The service was great, too. The only issue was with their touch screen payment system. While trying to tip, I hit custom and the first time, I almost tipped $91, the 2nd try was $110. Finally, I as able to tip the right amount. It isn't user friendly for someone that hasn't been there before. Otherwise, great coffee shop.

The greeter taking the order was extremely fun and friendly. The bariatrics inside seemed too busy chatting with a coworker to be bothered, handing me my coffee.

Wife and I hit Dutch Bros. About once a week. We get mochas and Chi lattes. Would go more often except: Prices too steep. I like drip coffee with shots of expresso but they don't have drip. They have Americanos but me no like. Not a knock but a suggestion, turn the music down a little. Is it loud for the younger customers or to keep staff moving?

This must be an alternative universe. Every time I drag my beat up craggy old carcass up to one of these places, they are full of friendly, polite, upbeat kids who actually seem to enjoy the public. It might be a ruse, but if so, they are great actors.
I’m old and eccentric, a little strange and maybe a bit odd. I’m met with friendly faces and cheerful help every damn time I drive in there. I want to look around and see where the trick is.
And there are so many choices and when I ask the young person who takes orders from the waiting customers what they have to offer, she tells me, I can have pretty much anything I want.
And then they blend up this liquid crack that sinks a hook into my lip like a master fisherman landing an old pike. We should check the ingredients to see if they are including some addictive drug that makes you dream of clear plastic cups with dark brown streaks running along the inside like mysterious running rivers across the Serengeti.
Ok… I love my little local place, but they close early and in tough moments you want something familiar, good, and kind. When you are old, a little kindness goes a long way. And consistency is like having firm ground to walk on.
When you tip them, they act grateful and surprised. As if this doesn’t happen often and that reaction tells me they deserve every penny. Come on folks, show them we appreciate the hard work and the great attitude even more. They are young and will remember this job as long as they live.
