My kids took me to Gustavs for my birthday last week and it was great accept I filled up on the fondue so I could only eat half of my Hungarian Jagerschnitzel. We had a party of twelve with a couple of toddlers and they took care of us very well. I wish we didn’t have to drive so far but I’m just glad we still have a Gustavs available
My husband and I have been fans of the old Rhinelander in Portland, Oregon for many years then Gustav’s at Clackamas until they both closed. We certainly are happy that the Gustav’s in Vancouver is still open. Food was very good and our server Stephanie was so sweet and personable. But I have one what you might call complaint , wish they would bring back the Pesto Fondue it was always better than the cheese fondue by far.
This is a regular spot for my elderly friend and me. He gets the French dip sandwich, or the sliders if it’s happy hour, and I typically get the potato pancakes, which are delicious. Stephanie D is a favorite among our servers — always friendly and attentive and happy to take photos for special occasions.
