Based on a recommendation from a friend, I expected really good food & great service. While the service was above average, it wasn’t as good as I had been led to believe. When I asked about substituting low mein for chow mein in the $9.00 lunch special, I was told there would be a $6.00 charge. I was then steered to a $7.75 entree which lacked one item included in the special but would only have a $1.50 up charge. Go figure. Overall the food was fresh & tasty, but… the sweet ‘n sour sauce had an odd flavor to it. My wife said it tasted to her like the sauce had a bad flavored orange juice used instead of pineapple juice. The fried rice was quite bland and, despite having ordered low mein (and being charged for it) I received chow mein. I doubt I will return.

We have been coming here for years. It is not going to be an authentic Chinese cuisine experience if that’s what you’re looking for. This is small town Battle Ground, they have to cater to their customer base. That being said, the service and food are generous and it’s a great place to bring the kids for a special dinner! If you don’t have kids with you the bar side serves the same food and the best drinks in town!

Generic Chinese dishes! Brown Rice served as Pork Fried Rice...Egg Roll with mushy, goopy vegetables inside---flavorless. Sweet/Sour Pork ok! Best parts of this dinner were the Egg Flower Soup and the Fortune Cookie...both had good flavor. Have had Chinese Buffets with better, tasty food than we had tonight. Fortune Cookie said to "Travel"...I will travel elsewhere to find our next Chinese meal.

Mmmmmm......a very enjoyable Chinese food restaurant. The picture shows their Great Combination. I ordered it with Orange chicken, BBQ Pork and pork fried rice. It was delicious!Admittedly, it has flaws. The Pork fried rice had zero pork or anything for that matter. It appears to be just white rice pan fried. And the BBQ Pork didn’t come with any dipping sauce! That’s unheard of.No matter, I still love Happy Family Chinese, it’s just good.

Food was not tasty at all... I ordered the beef broccoli pork fried rice and crab puffs... The crab puffs were good but thats about it. The ice tea was so watered down there was no taste to it. The service was not that great either... I wont be back. Sad part is I was starving when I walked in and just as hungry when I left. Just couldnt eat that food.

I don't like leaving a review like this as I can see this is a family business.. but I spent almost $8 on an amount of food no bigger than a snack that seemed like it was microwaved and tasted bland. Some businesses I just don't understand. You're in competition.. why do you not strive to be better? What I got for $7.50 plus tax was the epitome of disappointing...come on business owner step your game up. In order to succeed you have to have the best product at the beat price.. especially if the competition in right next door

LOVE Happy Family! It's right up the road from my house and is quick for takeout or dine in or at the bar. Cheap, strong drinks. Wish they had red bull for my vodka red bulls, but oh well! 5 stars.

Always have great food and very customer friendly. I dont think I have ever waited more than 15mins on a large order!

Three words: Pong Pong Chicken. Crispy, garlicky, crunchy goodness can be yours with choice of rice and a side (BBQ Pork or crab puffs are my personal favorites) for a mere $7.something (as of writing) with tax during the lunch window.

Absolutely the best Chinese I've ever had and the prices are phenomenally reasonable! Highly recommend.

Never got a chance to try the food. When the hostess-server finally showed herself she seemed grumpy to have to seat me. I asked for hot tea but it didn't come and she was distracted doing who knows what. Nobody else in the dining area. I got up and left.

This is a pretty good place. So far the best we've found in this area. The staff wasnt the friendliest, but they were not rude. Just kind of indifferent. We will be going back for another try regardless of that. The food was great and the location is easy to get to.

Love their food so much. Their shrimp egg foo young, fried rice, and crab puffs are my favorites. Also love their crispy garlic chicken, Szechuan beef dry style, and hot and sour soup. And their BBQ pork lo mein.
