Javier's Tacos #3

I moved to Vancouver in June 2024 found this restaurant and actually liked the food and service for the most part until today! Service was not only extra slow today but when I ordered a chicken burrito and had asked for avocado slices as I always have and only been charge $1 to do so. Tonight’s price to add avocado slices to my burrito cost me $5! When I asked why I was charged so much for them the man at window rudely replied with that’s how much it costs sorry and when I let him know that I have always only been charged $1 for this he said nope. Well guys my $8.99 burrito cost me $13.99 and for very little avocado ? due to the attitude of the drive thru person and the ridiculous charge I will not be returning to this restaurant or recommending it to anyone I know!

Very bad, it would have been better if it had been closed, I went through the window and my order was wrong and Able and they told me that they couldn't do anything

Yucky. I really want to like this place. However, it's sub-par vs the other options in the area.
Hopefully they can make some changes.
Or maybe it's a fakery and they don't want the business??? Either way I will not be wasting my money here.

10 bucks for a French Fry Breakfast Burrito? Like there were more French fries than anything on it. I don’t even like French fries for breakfast. Meh. Nothing special about the tortillas either.

Nice little Mexican restaurant. Better than muchas gracias in my opinion. Great selection of sauces. Had the carne asada plate, number 10. It was real good.

I just came in today to get some carne asada fries and I forgot my card at the house, all I had was 7 dollars and the cashier (Jessie) paid in front for my food! I couldn’t believe it and I didn’t want to leave with out paying but he insisted for next time. I got him next tip and us Latinos have to be united cause that’s just to nice and he didn’t have to do that, good looking out fam and my god bless you and your family?

Perhaps their mainstream items are better but their pozole and tortas are flavorless. I had to add a lot of salt, lime, and different salsas just to make it somewhat edible.
How this establishment has more than 2 stars is impressive.

Javiers is my favorite Mexican food restaurant. I have been enjoying their food for years. My favorite part is the salsa bar stocked with fresh house made salsas, pickled goodies carrots, radish, roasted peppers and onions, lime, etc... always fresh in a clean self-serve style. Try the tacos. Handmade tortillas, carnitas tacos and breakfast burrito are wonderful! They also have horchata, flan, fountain, and bottled drinks, and now even beer ? I couldn't be happier to see them back up and running and even better than ever. Great job ?

Parking: Accessible parking and entrance, always a spot available. They also have a drive thru option

Kid-friendliness: Family style restaurant kids are great here. Mariachi is usually playing on the tv

There carnitas burritos taste different not as good as it was before the place caught fire

This is our 3rd time here in the last 5-7 days! My family, Loves the food from this wonderful establishment! The staff have been very helpful and extremely friendly! One taller gentleman in particular has brought our food out to my vehicle (I am a double amputee & struggle with mobility) without me asking for help! He is just super helpful & kind! Other staff members are very well versed in customer service, or just being very efficient & always very polite and Genuine! The food has been Phenomenal Each time we have ordered!!! I Love the atmosphere here and it is open enough for my wheelchair to easily fit, where some other establishments always have a hard time getting through! Ultimately, you get a Lot of food for the prices and we will keep coming back! This is Excellent!! I Highly Recommend coming here, if you like Great Mexican food, Excellent Service & Very Clean inside seating as well, or take out. They even have a very good sized drive thru! Enjoy

Got two beef burritos on the way home. They were the worst burritos we have had in a long time.... it basically only had watery stringy beef, beans, and no favor. Would not recommend it to anyone. 20 bucks down the drain.
