Joy Sushi

Good, not great, sushi in this strip mall sushi joint.
One order of sashimi was top notch quality and a good portion. The 2nd was not as fresh and a smaller portion. The roll we ordered was too sweet and overpowered the fish.

Loved the service. Genuinely nice people.

If you are a fan of large portions of OK fish then you’ll love this place. We were traveling and listened to yelpers unfortunately. We are fans of exquisitely prepared traditional Japanese cuisine which Joy is not. It’s good for what it is and other diners were enthusiastically enjoying their meals so my 3 stars are probably equivalent to the yelpers 5s.

Ordered food for pick up online. Was told the order would be ready 25 mins after placing the order. It has now been over an hour and I’ve been waiting inside the restaurant for half an hour waiting for my order to be finished. The hostess was very sweet and the only positive thing about this experience.

Not a bad spot. Good sushi, good service. Quick in and out type place. Good for those random sushi cravings, but don't want to break the bank.

This is a horrible restaurant that is not 4.7 stars. I believe the owners have hired bots to upvote their rating. The menu is bad, the food is horrendous, the service is..odd, and the restaurant wreaks of humid bleach. I feel bad about writing this review about a local business, and I'm sure some of the workers are good people, but something is very off and misleading. Again, joy sushi is nowhere near 4.7 stars. I would never have gone, and will never go back.

Don't trust the reviews, not even close to 4.7 rating. Do yourself a favor and go to Gen sushi instead

I ordered the Red Snapper roll and the Tiger roll. The Red Snapper roll feels too warm and not fresh enough. I will not be eating it. The Red Snapper meat looks too dull. The Tigar Roll tastes cold and much more fresh, but the cooks laid on the eel sauce and spicy mayo WAAAAYYY too thick. I tried this despite its location in a strip mall, mixed in with the outstanding reviews, and an inkling. I'm not sure if the place has different employees from a year or two ago, or if those people have been there all along. Either way, I'm not sure I trust their food. It's a sad waist of money because of the inflation culture we live in today.

Ordered door dash. The tuna had a large chunk of connective tissue running down the entire roll and was very unappealing to eat. Both sets of rolls in order were very lightly rolled and fell apart really easily. The fish tasted fresh and overall wasn't bad, but the cut and rolling itself was pretty sub-par.

Sushi should not fall apart, I have been to the establishment twice, and each time the sushi falls apart even in the plate on which it was laid out.

And the cleanliness of the institution wants to be at a higher level.

Went because of the high reviews but honestly some of the worst sushi I’ve had in my life. Could not finish any of the rolls I’d ordered. Foul smell and taste of fish.
