Visiting this area on 7/12/25 for the weekend, I wanted chicken teriyaki for lunch. I don't know why but there are so many teriyaki restaurants around here.

I decided to try Joy Teriyaki. I had almost no expectations. But I was pleasantly surprised. The lunch chicken teriyaki plate was bigger than expected. It was a mix of breast/rib meat and some dark meat. Sauce was not too much and it was very good. The sauce on the salad was a little too sweet but it was refreshing. This plate was $11.25+ tax and I thought it was a good deal for a lot of food. I would recommend others who haven't tried this place! 👍

Don't get the gf sweet and sour shrimp! Horrible and they refused to refund me or give me something else!

This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. The food was poorly made, lacking freshness and flavor. There was practically no service — we were ignored from the moment we walked in, and had to go out of our way just to get basic attention. The hygiene was unacceptable: dirty tables, greasy floors, and unclean utensils. On top of all that, the staff had a terrible attitude — unfriendly, impatient, and unprofessional. I strongly advise avoiding this place.

My first and last time eating at Joy Teriyaki. We went in for dine in and they forgot to call out our order when it was ready. It sat for twenty minutes, as many people came and went. We couldn’t find the staff as we went up more than once to check on our Orange Chicken order. They packaged it to-go and didn’t bother looking for us. The restaurant staff wasn’t friendly about the mishap and the new employee admitted she forgot about our order and that she didn’t call it out or look for us. We got cold and soggy food. It wasn’t great either. The sad thing is I timed a customer walking in and it took three minutes to get his Teriyaki Chicken. I’m a customer and the staff made me feel in the wrong. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for dinner.

Solid teriyaki food that’s made fast and at a great price for 2024. Nothing much more to it. The place is simple and effective, great for dine in or easy to pick up and go.
