I’ve been here twice now. It’s always busy on the weekend. Would also be a nice place to work due to the view. The coffee isn’t that good to me. I prefer a little stronger taste and more of a caffeine kick in the pants. Maybe they need an extra shot in the drinks but not my first choice on the avenue. 13 coins is better.

They didn’t have Wi-Fi, which was odd for a coffee shop. The barista was pretty off putting when I asked about a drink and gluten free options. My latte took forever to get and was lukewarm by the time I got it. Good views of the waterfront but that’s about it.

Came here around 2pm on a Sunday and there were only a few other customers at the coffee shop. The spot is great for working or for grabbing a quick bite. They have a lot of pastry options and overall a very good vibe. Solid weekend choice!

I ordered avocado toast and got sliced bread and avocado. Nothing like the pic and ingredient list indicated on the menu. They were out of micro greens. What?! The kind barista tried to make it right but my dietary restrictions prevented another choice. NO ONE knew how to refund. NOBODY!! They weren’t able to contact a manager. How are you running a business and NO ONE knows how to refund and you aren’t available?? Unacceptable!! I’m hoping they will refund later after they locate a manager. Do better going forward.

Both workers were extremely rude and off-putting as soon as my cousin and I stepped foot in the restaurant. When I asked for a cup of water, the cashier directed me to the water station. I said, “Okay, cool. May I have a cup of ice?” The cashier responded, “We don’t have ice…” and then proceeded to talk to the barista about me wanting a cup of ice and water, as if I’m not right in front of them.I kindly confronted the cashier, asking why she told me they did not have ice. She responded back in a hostile tone, “You have to pay for ice. If you want it, I can give it to you. It’s going to be $2.17.” At this point, I wondered why I was being treated poorly just for asking for water and ice. I continued to ask the cashier why she denied me ice, genuinely wanting to know. She got frustrated and said, “I’m not doing this!” before walking to the back to talk to someone about what just happened.I asked the barista if she could bring whoever the cashier was talking to to the front so I could explain the situation. The barista responded, “Oh, she’s talking to the cook.” Okay? At first, it seemed like the barista did not agree with her coworker's actions towards my cousin and me. However, she too turned hostile towards us, thinking we were being hostile when we were, in fact, speaking with respect and a calm tone.I won't be bringing my business back here, and I hope my fellow African Americans choose to spend their time and money elsewhere.

Somewhat limited seating, only a few tables, the rest is counter type seating, with tall chairs, but great view! One block from the river, and you can watch the river from the front windows. They were out of several ingredients for our orders, so we had to make different choices. You order at the register and then find a seat, if possible. The coffee was really good. The barista was very friendly and even brought our order to the counter seating at the front window.Parking: There is no free parking near this location. There is a large pay parking area within a couple of blocks, and all on street parking is pay parking.
