Last time we went, they had messed up their menu and shrinkflated their portions. The bowls didnât even hold enough broth anymore. There was even a guy walking around talking to customers trying to sanity-wash the bad choices. Which in itself was an odd âadding insult to injuryâ type of choice. The food was okay but a ramen meal should be rich and filling, not an appetizer. I donât think weâll be back, this area is too competitive with ramen to settle for mediocrity.
Kenji's is really hopping for a joint that's slightly out of the way. You're lucky to get a table without a reservation. The staff are in constant motion. The food and service is superb for a ramen restaurant. I like the Gyoza, which is a pot sticker/dumpling thing. My wife love the Kenji's Ramen. I like the Kaizen Ramen. It's plenty of food.
