I have been coming here for a very long time and have genuinely enjoyed eating here.
Recently I have noticed that the food has been changing and definitely not in a better way at all. Portions have shrunk in size, and when served on a plate, my food looked like it had been tossed around in the back and and was cold.
We waited for our food for a while and I honestly at first thought we were forgotten about. After waiting a little bit longer, our food arrived finally and I had ordered sour cream and salsa on the side. I did not see my salsa or sour cream on my plate and when asking the boy who served us for 2 cups of it, he rudely said it was on my husbands plate.
As I went to pick it up, I put the salsa all over my omelet ( I wish I checked before I did) and did not touch my sour cream until a few bites of my omelet.
Once I reach for the sour cream, I saw actual gnats in it!!!! I saw 2 on the surface. I was so grossed out and started to wonder if I had eaten anymore.
The waitress was very kind and took off the omlete off of our total but still, I consumed a lot of this food and am praying I feel fine and don't become ill, please be careful when eating here, I do not think I will ever come back after this experience.

Slightly less than average food, terrible business practices (they disconnect their phone on the weekend because they're too busy... Swear to God), not good atmosphere, normal customer service.

I have a $50 gift card, which isn't acceptable online, and can only use it if I go in person or phone in during the week. I actually just threw it away. Way too inconvenient for subpar food/atmosphere/etc.

We went to The Kitchen Table for breakfast this morning and were really disappointed.

I ordered the Simple 3 with French toast, biscuit and gravy, two eggs over medium, and coffee. The eggs were fine. Everything else was not. The biscuit was hard, the gravy was heavily over-peppered, and the French toast tasted like it had barely been dipped in batter at all.

My husband ordered oatmeal and bit into something hard, possibly a nut or some other solid piece. He stopped eating it because he was worried about cracking a tooth. He also got a biscuit with his oatmeal and it was honestly gross. My husband is on culinary school and said the biscuits never rose or got fluffy and were likely frozen after they were baked. He even showed me what a proper biscuit should look like, flaky and crispy on the outside, soft inside. These were none of that. He also ordered a cinnamon roll and hot chocolate and said both were good.

Our bill was like $42 before tip, which felt wildly overpriced for the quality we received. The food was sloppy, poorly executed, and tasted like no one in the kitchen cared.

To be fair, the service was great. Our server was perfectly lovely. But we didn’t leave the $13 tip their POS system suggested because the food quality just didn’t justify it.

And here’s the part I should’ve trusted from the start. When we showwd up, the place was packed with mostly elderly people. That’s usually a dead giveaway that the food is bland, frozen, or stuck in 1987.

The Kitchen Table location on Mill Plain is much better. We’ve eaten there many many times before and its usually a great experience. This location felt like a completely different restaurant.

Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.

They forgot to add my bacon that I paid for. Most of the time we have missing items on to goes from this location. Dining in is a hit and miss. 3 stars because staff is friendly. I tried calling and all I get is a busy signal when I select option one to place an order. That seems like the only option to reach a live person. This will probably be the last time that we eat there or get a to-go order from that location.

I have eaten at Kitchen Table 3 times. It has excellent food and great coffee! The staff is great! Diane is a fantastic waitress!
The next time I come to visit again, I will eat at Kitchen Table again!

This is the THIRD time we have come to eat here and been completely forgot about. We used to come here weekly but the service has gone so far down hill. We waited for over an hour this morning and only got our COLD food after I brought up the fact that 5 tables sat after us were eating. We will not be back. Carol's Corner, Elmers, Victorias and IHOP will get our business from now on.

Diane G. was rude and not very kind, being in front of an 11 year old and acting rude really upset her. She also slammed my coffee down and got coffee on my phone. The food was amazing though.

Understaffed and a bit dirty compared to their other locations. Parking lot is old, bumpy and tight.

This place has gone downhill. I would have not given any stars except it makes you choose a star. The only positive thing I can say is the hostess was so sweet an apologized what happened as she was not the one who sat the other party first The service awful. We were a large party and another large party came in after us as we were waiting to be seated and they went and sat the other party before us after we were waiting for 30 minutes. When I went to talk with the staff I was told that the person with the other party is a regular and xame in first, which he did not. We then sat down ordered our food right away and waited over an hour before our party started receiving our food. Our party never even received all of their food and it was lukewarm and cold. This was a terrible experience and we honestly have not had a positive one in quite a long time. We thought we would give this location another chance but the staff is full of excuses each time and nothing seems to change. The food is mediocre and not worth the wait nor the price. We will not be coming back here again.

Good breakfast/lunch menu. I had the avocado Benedict... Really good. My Mom had the fish and chips with 4 good sized pieces of fish which she ate all of.
