This is the hidden gem of Asian cuisine of the Portland/Vancouver area. Food is fantastic with good portions. Plenty for left overs. Service is very friendly as well.

I ordered general tsao chicken and got mostly breading and some pieces were all breading with no chicken. I would rather pay a higher price and get a lightly battered piece of chicken.

We were looking for Chinese food in Vancouver and this place had the best rating and after going there I can see why. The food was delicious! They offer samples of the different options and everything we sampled was great. Even better was you can get a combination plate with 3 different entrees so you don’t even have to commit to just one! It’s a family owned business and they are so nice and seem like great people. We will definitely be coming here every time we are in the mood for Chinese food.

I rarely get Chinese food, less than once per year, because I never am happy with what I get. It’s either good, or affordable, but never both. Until now. I can finally say I have a favorite Chinese place! Massive portions for reasonable prices, and it’s GOOD food! So happy to hear they’re expanding to add a dining area, they deserve it!

So the rumors are all true of this legendary Malaysian Chinese food place. Its take out only for now, but the food is dynamite. The owner Mar, is the last of families legacy to make the amazing food and he is truly a nice guy. We ordered the Pineapple Chicken which was extraordinary, and he made the Orange chicken fresh with real orange slices and it tasted authentic. This place is completely underated and I suspect it won't stay a secret much longer. This place is the real deal, and I will be back for sure.
Mar's Cuisine is a hidden gem! This is exactly what I imagine when I think of Chinese food! The food is spectacular, the portions are extremely generous, the prices are very reasonable, and the service was friendly, helpful, and prompt! The basic setup is similar to Panda Express, where you can order a combo with 1, 2, or 3 entree with a side, but that is where the comparison ends. Mar's food is not generic, bland, industrial food. It is authentic and genuine; cooked and served with love and care. I ordered several options from the menu and enjoyed everything I tried. I especially enjoyed the egg rolls and beef with broccoli. Simple dishes, done well are a good test of any restaurant and Mar's Cuisine passed with flying colors. Regarding ambience, there is no seating or dine in options. It's takeout only, but the food to go is packaged extremely well and served hot and fresh. Ordering multiple dishes and eating family style would be my recommendation.
