Paper Tiger Coffee Roasters

My friends and I have been coming to this delightful little coffee shop every Friday for a year and a half now. The cozy atmosphere and small town vibe with it's eclectic decor makes for a very comforting experience. The staff is always fun and upbeat and remembers our names. Brittney, the owner, has scored a win with this little gem!

Great place! Will definitely visit again. Only reason service lost a star was because they were not open at the time they listed they would be and I nearly had to go the day without coffee. Once I got the coffee though, man it was bomb good. Probably gonna order their house roasted beans and see how I like their Sumatra at home in my French Press.

I loved this place. They were roasting some coffee when I came in, and the ambience is great. I just got a simple latté, and it was good enough to drown out the noise of my kids complaining that I stopped for quality coffee.

The staff close early often, and if you arrive 45mins before they close, they will do everything in their power to make you feel unwelcome so that you go ahead and leave, even telling you you can’t sit outside because they are closing (even though they’re not closing for a long time). Lattes are inconsistent- sometimes amazing, sometimes I’m unable to drink them. These problems have been consistent the entire 5yrs I’ve lived here, and since there are so many other shops to choose from, I have finally just decided to give up.

Coffee was great, is was very chill in there. Donuts are horrible, but the coffee makes up for it.

You know what they say; “if you want to find love, go to the paper tiger.” I love when my senses are so delicately assaulted by the different roasting aromas. I love how the low rumble of the roasting gears rock my soul to sleep like a new born. I love how the baristas’ gentle conversation swoons me to mellow like the sirens of Greek lore. I love the balance of flavors tickling my taste buds like a 16th century idiom tickles your fancy. Stop in to Paper Tiger and find love ?

Amazing ambiance and staff. Love the overall vibe of this place it’s very warm and welcoming. With that said it pains me to say that their coffee was absolutely dismal. For a place that roasts their own coffee and is so close to other great PDX coffee roasters and shops, I expected better coffee. Also, the bakery items they offer were somewhat generic and not really that great. It’s a bummer because I had high hopes for this place.
