Sakanaya Sushi is a long-time favorite spot for many customers. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, especially regarding food allergies. The food is freshly made to order and comes out quickly. Popular items include edemame, veggie roll, veggie tempura, sesame balls, Monkey, and Dragon rolls. The sushi, like the egg tuna roll, green dragon, and volcano roll, is some of the best in the Portland - Vancouver area, known for its freshness and delicious taste. The restaurant is no longer a conveyor belt operation, and while the pricing is not budget, the quality is good and the portion sizes are great. The atmosphere and decor are rather bare bones, but the overall experience is highly recommended. Limited menu pictures and lack of ingredient lists are noted, but the food remains a highlight. Ample parking space is available for all types of vehicles.
