My husband and I just moved to Vancouver and went to Sakanaya Sushi for our anniversary dinner. All of the food was super fresh, presented exquisitely, and our server was lovely. Very friendly, casual atmosphere. The prices were very good as well. We will definitely be returning!

Best sushi ever! The service was spectacular. We felt welcome in a way one doesn’t find around here. Business was slow so we were one of a couple guests. I was pleased to notice the quality surpassed anything we’ve had. Not just in town, I mean the sushi is the best we’ve had, ever.

Great variety of rolls, sashimi and sushi. Really friendly servers that were willing to accommodate some modifications to ingredients for the rolls and for the poke bowls. Pretty good quality fish and reasonable prices puts this solidly in the 4 points rating. There are some better places but have to drive further and pay more. I will be back.

My favorite sushi place in town ❤️ lived in japan for years and I am a little fussy about my sushi but sakanaya always delivers exactly what I need ❤️ the staff is always so amazing and kind, the sushi chefs are extremely skilled. Well worth it whether you're eating in or getting take out. Their udon and poke bowls are also very tasty! I highly recommend the sunshine roll if you like a little bit of citrus!
