Great place for tea drinks and mochi donuts in downtown Vancouver. Relaxed atmosphere and great service.

Bonus- Cool little bookstore below the shop.

We stumbled upon this shop after getting lunch nearby and tried a strawberry matcha latte and some mochi donuts. These are the best mochi donuts I have ever had! The workers were so kind and even offered us a free donut for Mother’s Day! We are definitely going to come back! It was a fantastic place to stop for a quick treat! Will have to try the banh mi!

The selection of banh mi sandwiches and drinks are great. First time I had the tiger sugar milk tea and pork roll banh mi, second time lychee fruit tea and pork belly banh mi - both times did not disappoint. Friendly service and cute decor too.

I have put off going here for quite a while because they originally opened as a mochi donut and boba place, but didn't carry mochi donuts for quite some time. I finally managed to have a free weekend (they only serve them on weekends, despite it being a namesake item) and give the donuts a shot and was pretty disappointed. $4 is a bit high for mochi donuts when there are several places across the river that are very good at what they do. The thing that ruined it for me was how cripplingly sweet the horchata was. There was no flavor besides sugar and the chocolate miso was better, but had a lingering taste after. I will say their texture is ok, but I will say the others you can go to in Portland have it nailed down. The Dubai mochi donut (popular social media trend) is $8. So I passed on trying it as the doubling in price just didn't make sense to me when other places have the same flavor/ingredients and maintained their standard price. I wouldn't recommend as it strikes me as somewhere that is mostly for social media posts and aesthetics, which isn't why I go to places.

Absolutely perfect little place to relax and get a snack with friends. Delicious and super affordable custom boba drinks and teas. Super amazing claw machines with plushies from Japan and even little goodies to buy. They even had some free stickers! I definitely recommend as a place to try out. Sad I didn’t get a mochi donut! Maybe next time ❤️

I don't know why they don't do more to advertise their Bahn Mi online. It is my absolute favorite thing here. I came in for a tea and was hungry so I ordered the house special Bahn Mi, and now any time I'm in town, I make a point to stop by for a sandwich. The balance is great, it was way bigger than I initially expected, and it is consistently amazing. I order it with extra veg and add their fried egg whites when they have it available. The staff has always been really sweet and the atmosphere is super cute.

Came here for the first time. There was a line right to the door when I came in and the line never ceased to go down, which is always a good sign. I tried their special pork belly banh mi sandwich. Items are made fresh and didn’t come out super quickly but worth the wait. I also tried their taro cloud with boba super delicious, also a bit of a wait but still worth the wait. I also tried three different flavors of their mochi donuts. Super delicious and unique. I’ll definitely come back to try some other boba options and donuts.

Love their mochi donuts this is my 4th time back! So sweet so chewy so delicious 😋 Their general flavor rotation is GREAT! I also love how they are up to date with seasonal offerings and trends (Dubai chocolate donut😮‍💨👌🏽) Run and get some donuts and don’t forget the bev!!🧋🧋😛

I want to preface this review saying that I'll eventually try to come back but I've been in twice and haven't had a great customer experience. With that out of the way, here's the rest of my review:

If you're looking to get mochi donuts, don't come here on Monday - Thursday as they don't serve them (despite their logo being a mochi donut?), but you might also run the risk of not being able to get one even on the days they are served. My first experience was coming in on a packed Wednesday and waiting in line only to find out from another customer that they only have them on Friday - Sunday. No biggie I figured, I'd come back around on Sunday when I have time (as a quick aside, they have a small sign in the window that says they're only available on weekends so this was on me). On Sunday, we came in around 4pm and were told they were sold out, which is a bit of a disappointment. We ultimately ended up getting the #1 banh mi on the menu and I can't say it was all that worth the wait or the price. A bit overly sauced while not having super flavorful pork.

The employees were very nice and the seating areas were generally clean, so I'm willing to bump it to at least a 2/5. I'm sure the donuts are great considering how much I've heard about them, but I unfortunately don't think I'll be back soon considering the lack of availability for the item they proudly display as their logo.

TL;DR: You'll likely have a hard time getting the mochi donuts unless you're here early on a weekend and the banh mi isn't worth the price currently.

Great bubble tea store and great friendly service. I also watched the awesome annual Lunar new Year lion dance here!
