I'm baffled how this diner has 4.5 stars. The food was okay, not great. Upon entering, I almost turned around and left due to the lack of cleanliness. They had silverware on top of the counter so they blocked off the counter stools with yellow caution tape. Booths were dirty as were the plastic covered menus. A youthful group of servers walked around with batches of paper covered straws in their back pockets. Overall cleanliness is what surprised me. They need a thorough cleaning to rid the accumulated muck. As I was leaving and at the front counter paying the bill, I noticed the cook with a dirty t-shirt and no hair net to hold back his longer hair. Food wasn't great. They have some great wall decor & the menu was fun to read. That was the highlight. There are many other restaurants in Vancouver that far surpass this one.

The food is pretty good for the most part. However, I'm convinced none of their cooks know how to properly poach an egg.

First time here.
I ordered the pancake breakfast, and i really liked it. The pancake was a lil undesirable, taste like a biscuit made pancake. The rest of the breakfast was on point, definitely worth it. Now my queen ordered a French dip, it that was amazing as she put it.
We will be coming back soon. Price was definitely worth it. $35 for two meals, yah we will be returning. Ty at stardust diner. ππΏπ―π

Loud and noisy place where 5 staff stand around talking and doing little. Crinkle fries were good, my burger was not very good. Service was a joke as waving my hands at the whole talking gaggle didn't call them over for my water and my side that I was waiting on seemingly forever. Finally my waiter deigned to show back up. This is my 2nd time here this year and my 3rd visit ever. I don't think I'm coming back.

I had a really good and very big country fried steak & gravy with mashed potatoes & vegetables. The steak was as big as my face and really crispy and seasoned well on the outside. The gravy was seasoned well. The mashed potatoes are homemade and very good with the gravy. They have fresh vegetables and corn bread, or a dinner roll, or garlic bread with it. I had a nice dinner roll with some soft butter in it. I also had a chocolate and coffee shake and Damnnnn was that good. I would recommend to get that shake too. It is a lot of food and I need a long nap now. It's country fried food coma time. The pictures below are from a take out order that I got from the Stardust Diner in Vancouver,WA. I took it out and put it on my own dinner plate and tray.
Server was outwardly rude when we last went. She came to the table only once to take our order, where she was incredibly dismissive and rude to me and my wife. After that we were hard pressed to get a drink refill or ask about dessert or anything! Even trying to exchange niceties at the counter while I was paying was met with a blank stare.
I've been going to Stardust since I was a kid and the service has always been incredible, but this has turned us off from visiting again. Worst service I've ever received anywhere.
The food and milkshakes were really good. The girl that had made our milkshakes was much nicer and continued to check up on us after our server ignored us for the night.
