Thatcher's Coffee

The decaf coffee is phenomenal! It’s difficult to find a coffee shop or roaster that cares about their decaf, but Thatcher’s is now one of my favorites.

The minute I walked in I knew this was the perfect coffee shop for me. The decor, the smell of the beans, the pastry selection. Even just having plenty of seating. Love it.

I used to get my matcha from compass coffee until I just couldn’t take the rudeness anymore and I had some really nasty matcha over there. I found thatchers recommended on Tik Tok it looked great so I went in there today and my matcha was phenomenal. The girls weren’t judgemental which was nice I already feel horrible due to being so sick from my auto immune issue so I’m living in stretchy pants. The girls greeted me quickly, held a conversation, and answered my questions. It was so lively in there and I love the big open door allowing such a beautiful breeze into the building also was sooo bright and clean. The aroma in the place from the coffee was amazing! They had several hours free options and was as gluten free/vegan which I loved! This will be my new matcha place and it’s so close to me.

Went today for the first time it looked cute and they had child friendly lattes. When I ordered I went to choose a pastry and the entire case was filled with bugs. They were flying and crawling around and ON the pastries. My friend who I was with counted over 30 while we waited in line. I told the woman at the counter & asked if she had some stored elsewhere to serve because of the bugs and she said no those are the ones they serve and that’s just how they are because they leave the door open. I just said okay and thanked her but honestly it was gross.

Decent little coffee shop. The coffee was a lot stronger than I personally prefer. Prices are about average for the area. There is plenty of seating. Typical sugar coated bakery items available. Atmosphere was relatively peaceful. Plenty of parking in the area.

$4.50 for a watered down 16oz cup of coffee is absurd. The barista was rude when I didn't tip, because of the ridiculous price caused by a bloated wage, and the cheap cup and lid leaked the entire time before I had enough and threw it away.

Love this place! I go here a couple times a month to work in the mornings. Great coffee, excellent service. The pastries look amazing, but I don't eat that kind of thing... not enough protein. Highly recommend.

Such a cute coffee shop with wonderful people that work there. The seating is great with good outdoor seating options, with a very cute and calm atmosphere. Calling out the delicious gluten free pastries as well, banana bread is wonderous, almond muffin was SO good and others are great as well. All around one of the best coffee shops in Vancouver and worth a trip over the bridge as well. Close to the beautiful walk along the river as well.
