The barista was very distracted while servings. Very limited on gluten free options like they don’t do gluten free oat milk and they didn’t have a ton of coffee syrups. It was okay.

One of my favorite coffeeshops in the couve. Only got 4 stars on food because all the good stuff gets gone early :)

SENSORY ISSUE ALERT!
If you are scent-sensitive, beware! My first visit was this morning, and the place smelled like a mashup of pine-tree car air freshener and cinnamon pine cones. It was all I could do to stay, but I was meeting someone there,so I endured. Unfortunately, the coffee wasn't much better, tasting old and bitter. But everyone else seemed to be enjoying themselves, so make of that what you will. If I return, I will sit outside.

Friendly baristas and tasty house-made coffee specials. One of my favorite neighborhood coffee shops.

The people there are really nice! However, the espresso drinks are not good. Each time I ordered a latte, they were always sour tasting, bitter, and unbalanced :/

The breakfast sandwich had pesto on it which was amazing! The gluten free options were spectacular! But the latte wasn't the best. (Not very hot, and a little on the bitter side as far as taste.) The staff were very nice.

I really liked the vibe at this shop. Plenty of tables to work at and a lovely outdoor seating area. The harvest moon latte was delicious and beautifully adorned. My only complaint was that the pastry I ordered was not very good.
Dietary restrictions: They have a whole pastry section clearly labeled with gluten free and vegan options.

Such a sweet place. The atmosphere and decor is clean, open, very PNW and it always smells like coffee and a light outdoorsy scent. I've had a plain iced latte and their raspberry matcha; The coffee is excellent, and the matcha is well made. The price point matches the quality and it's worth the money (not expensive at all in the first place). It's spacious and I've seen multiple people be able to work on laptops or have one on one meetings at the same time, and still have personal space.
There is music in the main area, but it's never obnoxious, it fits the vibe. There's also outdoor picnic tables if you want some sun. Service is great, not over the top cheery like you'd get at a drive-in or starbucks, but the baristas give you a moment to choose from the menu and are very sweet.
I almost don't want to let people know about this place because I want it to be my own little hideaway lol

Your chai has ruined all other chai for me, it’s too good. Yelped it
Loved the coffee served in porcelain cups and with pretty froth designs and delicious bagels with cream

Ignore the Karens in the reviews that complain about the pricing. It's like someone was forcing them to pay it. The Great North's pricing is on par with any great coffee shop, of which Vancouver has precious few.
The coffee is top notch, with beans roasted in-house. I loved the atmosphere, though I think they could take the Forest Service theme ever further. There's plenty of seating, indoor and out. And the people were very friendly.
There's not much more you could ask for in a craft coffee shop. If I lived in the area, this would be my main hang.

Great vibe and the nicest employee I think I’ve ever met. Thanks.
Parking: I usually walk here but there seems to be a lot of parking.
