I used to like this place. But the bacon cheeseburger isn't at all like what we used to order for takeout. I dined in. They didn't take much care with me or my food. Burger was pink in the very middle and I didn't finish all of it. Tomato was badly cut so it was super thick at one end so it wouldn't stay in the burger. They charged me extra for tartar sauce for my fries without telling me and then they charged me a 3% fee for paying with my credit card! I think I won't be back.

Definitely somewhere that they seemed caught off guard to see someone new. Greeted everyone else by name, cool to see it still exists. The food was very bland, kinda small portions, just not what you’d expect from a place like this.

Stopped in for breakfast based on other reviews and I love diners. It's exactly what you expect- good homestyle food in large portions. Had the bacon (crispy) and eggs with pancakes. It was perfect except the pancakes were a bit under cooked. Excellent other than that.

It was ok but when we signed the receipt, it was $39.07. We still have the actual receipt but our bank statement came today and someone had added $8 more to the ticket after we left. We will never go back. That is fraud. Our waitress is the one who checked us out. We still have the original receipt and there is no tip on our receipt. But it showed up on our bank statement. It just says server ID 3. I hope she gets reprimanded as that is fraud changing a ticket after it's been signed. We will never go back and im warning all our friends. We have proof as it's different on our bank statement than what is on the ticket.

The food was fine. Typical diner food. The staff were not friendly and seemed very overwhelmed. Waitresses were snapping at each other in the dining room. Silverware was dirty. Food was spilled in the middle of the floor and left for people to step in.

Super chill down home spot with great service, food and experience. All the server ladies were attentive, helpful and friendly. The pancakes were spot on and that’s my go to anywhere and kinda set the tone for if I will enjoy a spot. I’d come back again for sure. Not sure I would have ever before just driving by but glad a friend suggested it
Plainsmen has an at home feel, warm and sweet. The waitresses are friendly and a sit anywhere style. My husband and I had omelets while our daughter had the top sirloin stake. Everything was very tasty and the homemade white bread with homemade jelly was fantastic. Can't wait for another visit.
