We went on a double date here on a Saturday evening and were sat in the bar area. They have a beautiful and grand chandelier in there.
Service was great! Very informative and attentive. We never needed to look for her. We went with her suggestion to share everything and that made the experience more fun.
I loved the truffle mac and cheese, fried Brie cubes, and the scallop yakitori. The scallops are cute little guys and very tasty. All the skewers were delicious. I think next time I would skip the beef cheek poutine. The beef cheek was the best part and the other ingredients were just so so.
For dessert, we got the chocolate pot de creme and chocolate lava cake. If you’re just getting one, I’d recommend the chocolate lava cake. There are a lot of fun elements in the plate, great for sharing!

The Sedgewick never disappoints. This is my fourth visit, and I will continue to frequent this place. It is just a stones throw from all the waterfront places, but much better. The ambiance is always nice, food is amazing, and the service is friendly.
We shared three dishes which were all cooked to perfection. The Marrow and Cow Cheeks was very flavorful, the fried brie with fig sauce & lemon curd had an amazing balance, and the grilled octopus was extremely tender & not chewy.

We've frequented the Sedgwick a few times now. Being newer to the area, we believe in giving all restaurants a few chances to win a place in our regular rotation.
We originally found the Sedgwick on a cold winter's night in 2023. We stopped in for what we planned was a quick appetizer and drink. We ended up staying for dinner at the bar.
The bar is well lit and very classy. The staff is dressed appropriately. Drinks are very good but do take a minute to craft. They are on the pricy side.
The food is absolutely wonderful. Truly. Excellent food, excellent chef. However, for the portion size, it's pricey. One can understand they are doing this intentionally to maintain a higher class of patrons but the tab was a bit jarring.
We've been back a couple times, took friends once. They enjoyed it but they too, did mention the prices.
Great place in the heart of downtown. We'll be back. Hopefully they'll adjust portions to match their pricing.

Customer service was bad we even walked out to find a different restaurant although the place was aesthetically pleasing
I experienced very bad service here, I got in and no one greeted me or said anything. The restaurant looked empty and I was only greeted after a while of walking around. I was then seated somewhere and given the menu but not attended to for 20 minutes! I thought of waiting a few more minutes and then 2 people walked in and were treated with completely different energy! They greeted them immediately when walking in and were quick to help them out. Another issue was that I was given dirty menus, I found that to be very rude as the restaurant was practically empty so she surely could’ve looked for something better!

Everything is an under seasoned greasy cheese bomb, incredibly overpriced. Save yourself the heartburn and patronize elsewhere.

Our drinks were not good, ordered martinis and a couple of their specials, server mixed them all up and we got 2 of four first then 8 minutes the other 2. Food showed up really quick right after we got the second drinks, the food was average. We had been before and loved it so went back not the same experience at all.

We tried their happy hour menu of smash burger and tacos. The smash burger was essentially a cheeseburger, nothing special. The tacos were good $5. Per taco
